- About me:
- I am proud that my son is the first of his generation, from either side of the family, to join the military. His granfathers and several uncles served in both the Navy and the Army. Jim is the oldest of our 3 children. He is 20, His sisters are 18 and a freshman in college and 14 a freshman in HS. We have lived in the same house since my husband and I were married. So moving around will be a completely new adventure for Jim! He will do just fine.

- Was proud and encouraged it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- Sending him off to boot camp was strangly easy. BUT leaving him after seeing him graduate boot camp was really difficult. Odd but I miss him more now.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

My daughter and I are members of a choir, we will be touring this month. I am wondering if there are any N4M families in the towns / cities that we will be visiting. Lap-top Computers at "A" school
Hello everyone,
I have a question for anyone who may wish to answer. My son just started "A" school this week, (he's at an Air Force base) may he have his lap-top?. He wants us to send it down to him, we don't want him to either get into trouble or be distracted from learning. What do you think? Mary Jim's concerned mom.

thank you so much for all the encouragement on the blog! It helps sooo much to hear what your son said about boot camp. Those words are like gold to me right now. I had no idea in life that this site would help me through this so much. I was so excited just to get on today and see that the clock that I set on my page turned to 29 days!!! Whew!

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
