We did make to Aaron's graduation last week. It was so awesome. I hope that you have a wonderful time with you Aaron. It was truly one of those life moments that I'm glad I got to share with my son. Awesome and amazing. Congratulations to you and your son. Where does Aaron go next. Mine is now in Connecticut, so he is even further from home. He was a grad-n-go and left last friday right after graduation. We spent a few hours at O'Hare airport with him. He probably will not be getting any leave time for 6 to 8 months. I'd love to hear from you about you weekend and how well it goes.

Oh, If Brenda's son Josh is in 056 (she may have posted in the wrong page) I do know that he is grad and go. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Hey Melissa, I can't find anyone from 056 on tonight but you can try asking Jennika, her boyfriend Mark is in 056. Have a good night.

Hi Melissa! It is good to hear from you. No my son Chris is in Div 059 which is not grad and go but I'm sure we can find someone from 056 who can tell us. Let me go back to the main discussion group and I will see. Did you get your grad pack? On the second page at the top my list the schedule for Friday morning and liberty time for Sat. morning then nothing for Sunday. Directly under the section with the schedule (about mid page there) in bold letters mine says DIVISION DEPARTS SUNDAY. Let me check back with you on this though.

I have received letters but no phone call since the day before Thanksgiving. I think we get at least one letter a week. He sends his girlfriend letters to our house so it seems like we get more but it is still about one a week. He says that their division is coming together and working good but they seem to get a lot of extra intensive training. Last I heard they were scheduled for Battlestations on Dec. 23. Have you heard from your Aaron? Where you able to get the grad packet from his father?

You were asking about Christmas package of some kind and as far as I know and have read, we really can't send anything other than what fits in an envelope. I know that food is not allowed at all. We have booked out hotel rooms at the Comfort Inn in Waukegan. Thought I would let you know.

We will be able to go to the airport and visit there until their flight leaves, so that gives you a few more minutes to see Aaron. When I talked to my Aaron last week he told me that they are scheduled for battle stations on dec. 23. Included my grad pack was a form for adopt a sailor for Christmas day. Unfortunately we won't be able to go up there at that time. That is quite disappointing, I would love to spend the day with him. My son in law's brother lives in Chicago and I'm hoping maybe he can adopt him for the day. Let me know when you get your packet and what arrangements you are making.

Hi Melissa,
We did receive the grad pack yesterday. It does contain a vehical pass for graduation day only. Rules and guidelines for attendance and a brochure with hotel information on it. We are driving up there (our families think we are crazy since we live in San Antonio,Texas) but we are willing to take a chance on the weather. We have not booked a room yet but probably will do so in the next week. The boys are only allowed 4 guests at graduation and they have to turn in the names of those about a week before graduation. W
