About me:
My youngest son just joined the Navy in October of this year and just graduated boot camp!! New adventures are coming and I'm just as scared and anxious as he is!
I am here to support or represent my:
Nick
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The importance of family and how to appreciate them and not embrace every day they are around.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Dawn, sorry I didn't answer you sooner, I've been so busy working and with Christmas coming.. Nick is home now (yay!). He will be starting his first school at Great Lakes for Advanced Electronics Technician. I'm glad he's going to still be close to home for awhile. I know the day will come and he'll probably go alot further. What is an MA?

Melissa where in Muncie do you live? I was born and raised there. I left from there about 14 years ago. I now live in Brownsburg which is west of Indianapolis.

Hi Melissa. Where in Muncie do you live? My husband grew up in Muncie, and my father in law still lives there on the South side of town.

If your son was anything like mine, he developed a new appreciation of Mom while in bootcamp! lol

Take care and talk to you soon.

Hello and welcome to N4M’s!
We’re so glad you’ve joined us! My name is Michelle (The Admin), but you can call me Elle. If you have any questions/comments/concerns – send them my way! To help you get started, I’d like to share some of our community’s “Do’s and Dont’s”. Please click here and read them because yes, they are enforced. With that said, I hope you enjoy your time here! We’re all looking forward to learning more about you. ☺
Sincerely, Elle

Hi, Melissa and welcome to "N4M," as we like to shorten it. Here's a couple of tips which might prove helpful to you:
1) Since you haven't used this ID much, you might consider deleting and re-joining the site using an ID without your last name. This is only to protect your sailor. We must assume that "bad guys" are reading our posts and we don't want them to learn anything "useful" here. If your sailor has a different last name though, there's no need to change anything. I offer this only as a suggestion, it's not required.
2) The fastest way to jump into some discussions is to click on "GROUPS" at the top of any page. This take you to the (LOTS!) list of discussion groups going on. They range in topic from bootcamp groups, to states, to ships/subs, hobbies, politics, and even prayer groups. You can read anything anywhere without joining a group, but must join one to leave comments. You'll find the link to "JOIN" when to click on that group.
3)Occasionally visiting the HOME page is a good way to read announcements from the administrators and see a potluck of stuff going on.

If you need any more help, you're welcomed to visit Karen Gallagher's page or mine, by just clicking on our pictures (that's the way to visit anyone's page).

Good luck and hugs! ks.
