I am so sorry, Melissa, it took me so long to reply. I have been so busy and haven't been on here as often as I should.

I'm glad you have family where he is stationed. That's wonderful to know someone is there if you were to need them. To me, this site has been all about being there for us and walking us through what to expect.

The months and days are flying by. I can't believe we are now 4 SHORT months away from our son leaving. It has all gone by so fast. We are proud and know he will do well though!!

We stayed in out of the cold too. It's been terrible out there. I've worked from home the last two days!

Our son is only 18. He leaves for bc in June. I can't imagine living without him. I know this will be a great opportunity for him. I know he will grow from it and learn a lot of responsibilities I haven't been able to get thru to him. He's a GREAT kid and a WONDERFUL person though. Other than being immature, he it a warm, caring young man that has never once made me lay awake at night worrying about his choices in life.

How old is your son? Where is he stationed? What is his job?

Hi Melissa. I apologize I haven't been on for a while. I've been so busy at work and running around, I just crash when I get home.

It's good to see someone on here from Lowell! Are you fairing the ice storm o.k..?

Dear Melissa,
That should fun with the Fleet Week. Kim mentioned it, but she doesn't know when. She asked me when they go to Boston, if we can see her. I never turn down a trip to Massachuttes!! But it's a 5 hour car ride!!! UGH!!!

Kim can't wait to sail off, and see other states and or countries!! Hha!!
Let me run. My husband hogged the computer all day, and I'm backlogged now! UGH!

Take care and God bless,
Barbara

Dear Melissa,
I would feel the same way, search and rescue!! AT least he's in the states!! HAHA!!
My Kim originaly wanted to be a rescue swimmer, I am very relived that she's not. God bless those who are!!!

Poor Kim is bored. Her ship is docked for a year, so the Sailors are all doing odd jobs, mostly cleaning. By 1:30 PM , Kim is done with nothing to do until the next morning!!! She can't wait to sail out and see some countries. Other wise, thank God , she loves it.

How does David like the Navy so far.?
Only once have I heard a mother say thei child wasn't going to re enlist. They all seem to love it. Mostly because of the other countries!! HAH
Kim hasn't seen anything yet. Only Chicago and now Virginia.

I hope to hear from you again.
Take cre and God bless.
