Glad to hear Shane is doing well. How exciting to think he will be done with his schooling. Where will he go after Prototype?
I am so excited as my son will be home for thanksgiving. Will Shane be home soon? Joseph is a EM and will start prototype at GC Dec 7th. Well take care and all the best to your Son. Grace:)

Hi Mia.
I can't believe that that we live so close! I live in Tampa. My son has also completed Power School this past Sept. When did your son graduate from power school? Did he start prototype yet? My son is on hold. I believe he starts prototype school in December. He is renting a house about 10mins from base with two other guys.
We went to the Power School Graduation it was wonderful.
Hope your sailor is doing well, we he be home for the holidays?

The VFW in Spring Hill is having a Benefit Dinner & Dance on Oct. 17 @5:30..all proceeds will be used to buy supplies for our troops..the cost is $16.50 per person...would you be interested

Mia, has been awhile hope all is well. Are you guys traveling taken that RV out on a trip or two this summer. I talked to my son last night, it has been confirmed he is not going on normal rotation to Japan, he will be going to Iraq. I'm bummed. I worry try not to. One of our friends works at base here. ( Top Secret, actually he started in Army dext over to Marines then to Air Force, ) has left for Afgainistan last week, will be gone for 7 months. So I hope he wil keep us informed of anything going on over on that side of the world. Hope all is well Hugs to you all, Robin

No box yet. The morning after he left I got up to a wet towel on the bathroom floor and razor & hair on the sink. A few parting gifts! (ha ha)Just no son. Then I found the truck full of beach sand, clothes, etc from a last minute trip with friends before he left. I'm sure I will be wishing for a few messes. Dalton & I joined the gym with the Tags, so we will have something else to keep us busy. Besides, I told Cody I was going to be "Buff" when he saw me next to keep up with him. I got his address and sent him his first letter today. How was Shane at boot camp? Did he ever tell you how he felt about the letters? I'll keep you posted.

Thanks, Mia, for your comment to me. Mom died yesterday morning. I emailed Jeremy to let him know and he spoke to his chief, who said he would not be allowed leave. I wasn't surprised at that since they are at sea and with all the trouble there is in that part of the world now! I am so glad I found NavyforMoms; it sure helps having other Moms going through the same things to talk to.

Hi Mia,
Cody ships out on Wednesday. The time has come up very quickly. I feel like there is so much to say and do before he goes. I think it has just hit him but he is still very excited. I guess we're both as ready for this new adventure as can be. I'm not sure how Dalton is feeling about it all. He tends to keep things in. He says its going to be weird. It really does affect the whole family. He says its not for him. We'll see how he feels a year from now. Should be interesting!
Hope you and Bob are well and hope to see you soon.

Mia how is everyone? Shane doing well? I am restless waiting for my son to visit. I am counting the weeks,days. We are jumping for his birthday. OH out of an airplane. He says he's up for it, me I'm always ready to skydive. I know the time is going to go so fast while he is here. And it's only for 1 week but I am thankful for every moment we have together. Keep in touch what's going on on your end
