I have had some hard times but I just keep thinking what a great career move he has made and how proud I am of him. Believe me I miss him terribly but he will be stationed in Pensacola for school and I will be able to at least talk to him now!

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
No matter what he(T.J.) does. As long he is in GODs will I know that he will be safe and that in the LORDs care he is better then he is at home.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

It has begun.

Yesterday marked a mile stone in my sons life. He was able to start his paper work for entering the NAVY. I thought I would be a nervous wreak when this day finally rolled around. But I am proud to say I did really good. I didn't even shed a tear. I believe this is due in part to SeaCadets. Not only has this program prepared my son but it also has prepared me. I am so proud of him. Bravo Zulu to you son.

NSCC, Navy Sea Cadet is an organization that equips youth in the way of the Military. It is open to students ages 13-18. Navy League cadets are a younger group that starts at age 11-13. In SeaCadets students learn about the Navy but the information is relevent to all branches of the Military. Students are required to attend a boot camp usually held during the summer. It last for 2 weeks. My son came home from boot camp changed, his room which is usually a natural disaster became spotless. Laundr… Continue

Hi Michelle! Yes My son is going to POLA in Willow Grove PA , MAA at SeaGirt NJ and is waiting to hear about staffing at RT at Ft Indiantown Gap (just sent in the paperwork recently)...unfortunately, as a single mom, money is tight and he had to choose from trainings that did not involve airfare...so he had to stay local. I would really love to get him out to training in the Great Lakes in the next year or two so hopefully airfare will become affordable for me. I remember when he came home from boot camp, he was so proud of himself, and just kept saying, 'I make a mean rack!' and he had this thing about polishing his boots...little circles with the fingertip covere with cloth...whereas before he just use the brush. too funny...what trainings has your son done? what did he like and what did he not like....? Your son ready for the summer, or is he out of the cadet corp now?
