When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
My son Lyall graduated PIR 12/5 and is awaiting A school in GL for GM. My second son Dylan is enlisting tomorrow (2/25/09). I would love to meet other mothers (or fathers) who have sons/or daughters who are in GL on the USS Mustin with my son.

Hi Michele, Just checking in here at N4M and finally read your response.... a little late, sorry! I am glad to hear that our sons are friends and he has such nice things to say about Matt. Matt is suppose to finish up A School next week and receive his orders. How is Lyall doing with his timing for A School? Thanks for sending messages, I really appreciate them. Susan

My husband is thinking of going maybe in July (we both cannot go) , he misses him terribly, his only child. I have 2 older daugters too.

HI Michelle, thanks for message. I will ask Garrett if he knows your boy. I am not sure what the hold up is there in GL. Garretts friend went in after him and has completed A school and is in Japan!! Poor Garrett is still in GL. He says things are getting tense there too. Running out of patience I suppose. I am hangin in there, just miss the boy Susan G

Hi Michelle, Sorry I didn't respond sooner.... I haven't been on-line to check my messages. Matt is very happy on the USS Mustin. He told me last week that he is now one of the MA's on the ship. How long has your son been on there and does he like it? Matt also is graduating from ATT school tomorrow so hopefully he won't be on hold too long for A School. Let me know and thanks for writing! Hi Michelle, I live in Glenwood Springs CO and saw you joined the GM Moms Group. Go to the Destroyer Moms (DDG) and there are several Mustin moms and they would love to meet you. CO Western Slope Moms are having a meet and greet in Fruita, CO on Saturday, March 28 and we would love to have you join us. (Look at the March Events Calendar on the right side of the screen) Linda Hedge has a daughter who is a SeaBee. My oldest son was also a Seabee and so we will have lots to talk about. There is also the More than One Moms group for those of us that have 2 or more sailors. Karen GWS CO

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
