Kathi..that is wonderful news and I am so thankful that we are in the age of technology were are grandparents had to wait days/weeks for letters from our dads overseas. This makes me hopeful I will be able to talk to my sailor when he deploys.

- Hi...Thanks for writing it helps...I cant wait till the 24th...LOL LOL. Hows things with you going ? I got a letter yesterday from Shawn and he sounds very up beat...He said they got 4 Flags and if they keep up the good work they will get extra time on Liberty weekend ! and he found out A-School is only 21 weeks instead of 27 weeks ? I know he's thrilled but not me then that means he will be on a ship sooner !!! I'm really holding up well, yesterday when I got this letter ( normally they come on thursday) I didnt cry for the 1st time !!! LOL. cant wait to see youn Ladies the 24th.

- do you know how long combat training is? It is so nice to have someone from ohio to talk to. arthur my other son and husband went to that area 2-3 years ago with a church group to help rebuild from hurricane Katrina , i think thats when he got the building bug and he really liked it down there despite the heat so and humidity! are there many moms around the area?

- Hi michelle, so did your son have combat training in gulport after A school? I am just trying to figure this all out! My son got down in MS june 23 and just started classes today, they had to wait for more sailors to arrive . I am hoping to attend grad if i can. He thinks it should be about Sept. 10th. Then i could load up my car with his things and bring HIM home! So when did your son have PIR, i see he has his blues on so i'm assuming it was winter time ?

- Yes, sounds like we are fairly close. I live out by Mill Hollow ... in the twp, but my mailing address is Amherst. Firelands school district. There is a gal from Sheffield Lake or Avon Lake that is trying to get something going to get together too ... do you work during the week or weekends? What days/times are good for you?

I thought BC was tough.... well now you have more friends CLOSER going through the SAME thing... so we'll get ya through it!!! :o) My son is down in Norfolk on the USS Enterprise... they are schedule to deploy sometime next year... spring or summer ... no matter what, I will never be ready for that!!!!! Would LOVE assistance in setting up a get together... I just know we need a place to hang out and just talk w/o getting kicked out... cuz I know we will have SO MUCH to talk about... ;o) Jules
