Very proud day for Sailor, mom and dad.
I have a son who is a Sailor. Got the call. Timmy told me that only one female didn't pass the PFT. That's all he knew.
Hope everyone else passed.

I got low censused at work last nite, not enough patients to take care of. So I slept all nite. I'm wide awake with coffee. What do u do.

Hey Marti--I just got home from work---jumped right on the computer---I can't stand this waiting---driving me crazy!!!! We leave at 4 eastern time so I changed my message on my phone just in case he calls when we are in the air!!!! Taking my laptop…
Barb, I can't think of anything else also. Phone is glued to hand. This is the hardest day, I think. When we get the phone call things will be better. I'm not even packing til I get the phone call, I just can't. Praying real hard here too. Big hug!!…

PFA was today and battlestations 21 wednesday, very nervous too. Just be over!!!!
I guess we are learning patience. Rats!! a learning experience at such a late age.

It's time for all of us to get together again. We are going to meet Saturday, August 29. I placed a discussion out there a while back, but with summer and busy schedules there weren’t too many responses. With that in mind, I am going to invite all who are interested to my home and we’ll BBQ and pack boxes and just catch up on our Sailors. I don’t know that I have all of the Colorado Moms on my email, so please feel free to pass this along to any on your friends list. As always the more the merrier. Molly’s Adopt-A-Sailors have adopted the USS CROMMELIN. The USS Crommelin is a frigate and the home to 252 of our sailors. They are based out of Hawaii and are currently on deployment. There are 250 males and 2 females aboard.
And, not only are they happy about us adopting them, they are ecstatic!
They will be half-way through deployment about mid-September, so we are going to help them celebrate with a HAWAIIAN LUAU. Let’s show our Colorado Love.

- Cody's recruiter demanded he get some exercise regularly to prepare. His DEP group would exercise together as part of their regular meetings to help. You are right, he does have to want it. It is part of making adult decisions and having to live with the consequences- good or bad.

- Cody signed up last October. It seemed like May was forever away. It flew by! Now he is gone. I am praying that I also get a changed for the better young man returned to me. The one they sent back in the box needed to go away for his own good. I can't wait to see the butterfly they took out of the cocoon they mailed to me.

My daughter, Ashley, has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT3 & my son Tim, an SH, has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz..
