Just remember, until you raise your right hand for the last time at MEPS before shipping to BC, you are not officially in the Navy yet and are in the drivers seat. You can back out, request a change of Rates and ship date (fill out a DAR form, but DEPpers usually have to leave with in a year of their original sign up though); but after the oath is taken, Ma Navy controls your calendar and what happens next. Hope you'll drop in on us! Best wishes to you as you begin your Navy Career. BTW: "Navy Doc" is a term respectfully bestowed upon and earned by the HMs who have completed extensive levels of training and are assigned to a Marine Battalion. The Marines teams call their beloved Corpsmen "Doc", my understanding is our Corpsmen don't refer to themselves that way.
