Hi Nancy! I'm so happy you got them! I wrote about Cody's and gave as much detail as possible for those that are still waiting and for those wondering what is going on there. Hopefully I didn't share too much! Yes, they had to wait for their division to fill up before they got started. What a waste of a week we could have had with them! That's so funny about his coat! Hey that just means he is special and you already know that! :) I am writing a letter tonight for Cody and sending it out tomorrow. I guess he is really missing hearing what goes on day to day here even if we don't think it's that important to share. So I will bore him silly! :)
Nora's school is doing a special day tomorrow for Veterans and if I am not too tired, I think I will go. They said if you or a loved one was in the military they wanted you there, and with my Dad and Cody, I guess it's my duty! Nora will be happy if I am there too. All the kids are supposed to wear red white and blue.
I hope we get our letters for Christmas too! I can't think of a nicer gift, except if it was them in person! Like that Maxwell House or Folgers commercial they used to show of the son coming home for Christmas morning and surprising his family! We can dream!

Hi Kathleen! I am glad to hear you are much better! When you get a good chiropractor, he's worth every penny when you are in pain and need an adjustment. I heard about this snow storm, but that's the weather, and it changes by the minute. I pray for all those coming from real far away, whether by plane or car, that the weather is good for traveling. That is what it was....the Ramada. Who is heading up the meet and greet thing? I am all happy because we are so close to base, but I wonder how far we are from things to do? I will find out when we get there. We just bought a used van yesterday so we will be comfortable driving those 5 hours. I was going to tell Jake, but my husband wants to surprise him when we get there. I so badly would like a call or a letter SOON. I know they are so busy and tired. All of Jake's closest friends went out to eat tonight in Jake's honor because everyone is missing him so badly. I told my oldest son to please tell them that they should wait until he gets into A school to go see him so they can spend more time with him. I hope they all listen. Anyhow, let me know when you hear from Cody....I could hardly write my Christmas letter because I was sad to do it and say Jake is gone, but I finally did it. I just had to remind myself how proud of him we are. (But I miss him so much!) Again, glad you feeling better! There is a story about the RN, I will tell you later! Nancy (I am NOT a nurse)

Hi Nancy, I figured you were busy being a Nurse! Thank you, I am feeling much better! I go to the Chiropractor again today and tomorrow.
My Mom called today and they made their plane reservations and will be arriving around the same time as us, so we will be able to grab a rental and get going right away. So far I don't think they have made hotel reservations yet. My Mom was waiting to pay off her credit card before they put anything else on it. I'm very grateful they will be covering that for us! We are so stretched financially right now. I hope the weather isn't too bad to get in on time, but there is supposed to be a big snow storm at that time. Hope it ends before we leave and before we land!
I agree with you about the friends. It would be better if they all took a trip to see him some weekend when he is in A school. That way he can really enjoy his time with them. I hear that they really want time to just relax, shower alone, sleep in a real bed in their own clothes!
I don't know about the Marriott meet and greet, I have heard of one at the Ramada.....
I really want to meet you all too! Cody's constant teasing and humor and laugh are missed here too. :(
We will see our boys soon enough! But a letter or call sure would help!
Thank you for the prayers Nancy!
You be safe and keep in touch when you can!
