I tried to watch this on free tv the other night--it is a bomb of a show and it got turned off.

I've walked out of a movie--but not before asking the manager for a pass to another show at a later date. Not throwing my money out the window.

Amy is now a student at Cal State Long Beach while Netty and Dave go to Long Beach City College.. None of them are interested in the military but all support their brother. I work in a Mens Tie Factory in Los Angeles as receiving administrator.
I love football. My favorite team is The Pittsburg Steelers.
I enjoy reading crime and mystery novels. We have 2 small dogs (mixed) and one pleasently plump cat. All three animals are spoiled babies.

I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Letters and Cards from home are very important to help sailors feel close to family. It is really hard to have your child so far away, even if they have been on deployments before.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Michael and I in April before his deployment. He was being funny saying he wanted to grow a beard on his time off. That is why he doesnt have a regulation shave. He got it before returning to base.

Michael really enjoys being in the Navy and is going to make a career of it. My dad was his role model. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

Michael on the Job.

I'll be glad to have a student write to your sailor. How shall the letter be addressed? Please email the info to: tammyhsong@yahoo.com Also, if there is anything special that you would like for the student to put in the letter, just let us know. Many thanks, Tammy Song (Chon's mom)

What lovely pics you have!
My youngest son is in boot camp right now -PIR Sept.18. He has talked about going into the military as far back as I can remember. He will be going to SC after boot camp and study to be a nuke. I will brag....he is one smart kid!!
I also have an older son who has been in the Air Force for 6 years. He is a F-22 Raptor crew chief. So, I have sort of been down this road before, but every kid, every time frame, every situation and every service is a little different. I guess you never fully get used to it.
Thanks for leaving me a note....I didn't even know it was there and when I did find it, it was at a time that I needed it.

Thank you, Nancy! You also have a beautiful family! I'm glad you liked the navy joke.
It seems we have alot in common. I'm also married for quite awhile, 29 years now. Four children - wow! Raising kids is great, and can also be hair raising sometimes. The problem is, they grow up too fast and we begin to see more grey hairs as time goes by.
Right now, John and I are empty nesters, and much to my surprise, because I cried when each of them left, we enjoy having the house to ourselves and welcome a visit every now and then. Plus the four of the five live close by, which makes it easy to have family get togethers. We all miss Obadiah, but it's great that we are able to communicate with him.
So you are a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, I see! That's great. We're fans of our college football team, "The Gators". I feel like a good football game - coming soon!
Anyway, Nancy, have a great day! Message me anytime.

Hi Nancy,
No, still no word on what ship my Mike will be assigned...he is nearing the end of his A School in Great Lakes. He thinks 2-3 more weeks? Not sure. At the end of that, he may be able to come home for few days, and we will know where he is assigned . My daughter and I went to visit him in early June, was so good to see him again. I sure do miss him. We get to talk on the phone almost every day. They keep them pretty busy with school and standing watch. He studying to be a Quartermaster. How is your Mike doing?

Thanks for the info Nancy. What department is Mike in? Chris is an ET 3 and is in the nuclear reactor department. I have no idea if he has any problem with getting a phone because he hasn't been in touch. I know his Navy Federal account number so he knows I can wire him money. I just don't get it. Skype isn't hard to do ....you just go to google and download it. Then you need to have the persons number and a camera on your computer. I love the pictures. The elephant is such fun. Chris just turned 25 July 18th and was in boot camp Jan - March 2007
