Hi There, thank you for commenting on our caviler, she is 4 and her name is Coco Von. We also have a 5 year old blue wiemaraner named Winston. They are are babies, Our son was very close to both of them so we too send photo of the dogs in cards to him. He really likes getting the cards, it keeps him going. Your daughter will love the photos of her doggie, it will keep her connected so she may not be to homesick. :)
Oh Momma I am so sorry to hear that!! Does your daughter know you are wheelchair bound?? If she doesn't already have 4 guests attending she could still add your fiance if she knew he was needed to help you.
I am glad you were able to get that all of your chest!!! I am here anytime you need!!! I'm sorry you didn't get your daughter's form letter. Do you plan to attend your daughter's PIR? The reason I ask is because your daughter will have to put your name on the list of those who will be coming on base for graduation. Also the form letter has the link to get the base pass. However, you don't have to drive on base. If you get a hotel with a shuttle they can drive you right to the front gate. The drill hall for PIR and the NEX (which many parents and new sailors visit afterwards) is all within walking distance. (That is if your foot allows you to walk). But your name does have to be on that list to get through the main gate. Hope this info is helpful and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions!!!
I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!! We are a close, friendly, supportive group of Moms and look forward to getting to know you and your sailor. I see you are new to N4Ms and your daughter is in boot camp now? Please feel free to jump in and join our chats on our group page. You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life. We are all in different phases of our daughters Naval careers and we are always there for each other!!! Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!!
