Profile Information

About me:
I am happily married with 2 children, my son 18, who has just left for boot camp and my daughter 10. I was a military brat (Coast Guard) growing up finally settling in west central Florida where I love living. Even though I was a military brat as a youngster it does not prepare you or even compare to how it feels when one of your children goes off to the military. I am very proud of my son and believes he has made a good life decision

Was concerned or afraid, Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To be patient and understand that my son is at an age where he is making his own decisions and all I can do is help guide him to making those right decisions
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was the best decision he/she could have made

Come on guys...we have all these people in our group & only a few are coming...we need to support one another...it will be great fun & very informative....I have a couple of Navy recruiters coming to answer everyone's questions...we'll have a lot of fun at the Tampa Bay get together on March 1....please respond...

Nicole, You responded to a lady who posted a couple months ago about her son leaving for boot camp in a few weeks. That lady has turned out to be a great source of support to me as our sons go through BC together. Your words to her were wonderful for a new bootcamp mother to hear and i just wanted to say say thank you for being here.
