Nikki, how are you and how is Tom doing? I know he had to go back for the week, so when do you expect him home again?

Hi Nikki. My name is Jenne. I just was catching up on the Camp Pendleton Corpsman group and noticed you were a wife also. What will your husband be doing after FMTB? Is he staying at Camp Pendleton?

Hello Nikki, My son graduated A school with your husband and is now in FMTB with him. They know each other. I saw your husband at graduation. Have a couple pics of him. I've been on Navy4moms for quite awhile. Just as an observer. Just recently joined but haven't posted yet.

Hi Nikki, you know you two have vacations like we have...working ones! But just being together is better than not. Chris will find out later this week if he will be going on schedule or not. They seem to want him to go to physical therapy before coming to FMTB. If so, he might be pushed to another FMTB class. I hope not but....they want him ready for to test for SARC as there are openings now. If so and he gets accepted, all his plans change as he has to go to jump school, dive school, etc. That would mean no Okinawa right away. Wouldn't break my heart any. I might give your husband a call if you don't mind. I figure it might break up his boredom. I will assume it is okay if you don't contact me. (I know some wives would be upset,) Feel free to tell me know if you want. Anyway, hopefully you are getting along okay without him...I know that once you get used to them gone and get yourself in a "in charge" mode that when they come home it's hard to just let them take over. I had that with my husband gone to the fire station for 24 hour shifts and then now home all the time due to his injuries I have no alone time anymore. It really is hard to keep shifting back. Anyway, hope you have a good week.

Nicki, when you hear from Tom, find out where abouts he is at Pendleton and what group, etc., so I can let Chris know. I'm sure that'd like to meet up. Chris is still on light duty but it is coming along. So how was your "vacation at home" with your hubby? I know it was too short but it won't be long and you'll be moving with him, hopefully. Chris is home this weekend and he will come home again next weekend before Grad n go, the 27th for Pendleton. So we are having a good time. Well have a good weekend, tell Tom we say Hello. That altitude does make a difference. I was born in Denver, but have lived most of my life here in the Treasure Valley. Will be interesting to see how the altitude affects our players, that's for sure. Colorado Springs has grown immensely from the last time I saw it. I hear it's almost a burb of Denver, now. I believe, we are on the same side of Denver as the airport. I really enjoy the CP group.

Hello Nikki! My name is Cindy and I'm a member of the Camp Pendleton group. I noticed you mentioned Colorado, so had to leave a message on your page. I'll be in Denver on Thursday and was wondering how close Calhan is. My son plays on a USTA Jr. Team Tennis team and they took first place here in Boise. We are headed to Denver for the sectional tournament. Regarding the CP group, we have a wife whose hubby is close to 30. He graduated FMTB in May with my son. I can assure you FMTB is nothing like BC. He will have to PT. As to how much and how often, that will depend a lot on his commander. Your hubby has so much going for him because of his age. He's mature, responsible, dependable, reliable. On the flip side, there will be some grueling field trips that he'll have to make, especially when they go on their long hikes and he has to carry 80 - 100 lbs of weight on his back. I don't doubt that he can do it. If he made it through BC, he can make it through FMTB. I'm so glad you found the CP group. We are small, but we have fun and enjoy chatting with each other. Should you see Jenne's name pop up, she's the wife I mentioned. She has two children and Hunter is due in September. They moved about a week ago, so Jenne's been unpacking and waiting to get internet service. She should be online before long. Tell your hubby not to stress so much. As there are a couple of new mom's in the group, your corpsman should be about a week behind so you're not the only one starting this ride called FMTB! Please tell your husband I said thank you and as he has a family it has to be a lot harder but I appreciate what he's donig for our country. I will pray for him.

My son had PIR on 3/20/09. His whole division ( 818) was a grad-n- go,. The form letter stated they departed GL on Sunday so we had plans to leave Sat evening. The commander came in the bleachers to talk to all of us before the ceremony. He answered all our questions and explained grad - n go. It was really thoughtful of him. After the ceremony we had about 20 min then the guys got a bus and moved from boot camp across to GL training base. We saw them around 4:30 after they were checked into the new command, new dorms. they were officially out of boot camp and under the new command so that is why they were able to get liberty all weekend long! He slept in our hotel room and stayed with us until we had to leave late saturday.
