Sue, I live just outside Lemoore. We live in farm area so yes, having a car would be extremely helpful. Without a car or a buddy that has a car they are kinda stuck on base (which is 4 miles from Lemoore). Just to get from the barracks to the OP sid…

- My nephew is in the DEP program going to boot camp in April.
First and foremost, I am here as the Aunt of a future Sailor, but, I am also the President of an organization that supports the troops. I have been doing this for a few years and have sent 100's of letters and packages to troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and on the boats (before I get PM's about calling them boats, I live 12 miles from a Naval Air Station and they call them boats not ships lol so I am used to calling them boats). If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am here to be a member of this site not to overtake it. This is a good site and you can learn alot here.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
