When you see your Sailor next week at graduation your pride will simply fill you completely. I STILL remember my son's graduation in Feb. 2002. He enlisted in Nov. right after 9/11. I was SO proud I think I cried through the entire ceremony. His c...

WOW KAREN -- you certainly ARE a Navy MOM, And you are right, graduation from Boot Camp was a 1-time exhilarating experience, There were over 1000 men and women in my son's entire graduating class, Scott and another Sailor had to share the top graduating seat in his particular group and that was a hard pill for him to swallow. He was a little bummed out that day, but his friends beat him into understanding that he DID graduate at the top of his class, He has also made E-6 in less than 7 yrs. HOW ABOUT THAT?
Going to close now, please keep in contact. I will try to send pixs if I can figure out how to do that. Paula

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To trust that his decision to enlist was a good one for him and he was proud of that decision.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
