Hi Pake, My son Andre is 21 years old and he PIR is 12/05 soon but not soon enough if you know what I mean. LOL I was told by a former Navy bc grad of a couple of years ago that the calling card I just sent to my son in the begining of the week they may take from him. Something about the Navy exchange. Why would they take a calling card I bought for him? I also sent him the whole first page on Wednesday of our local newspaper with information about Obama winning. I am hoping this is okay or does it depend on the div? I want to also thank you for being sooo sweet and putting up with us frantic mothers. LOL

Hi Pake,
My son is at GL now and his PIR is Dec. 5th. Somewhere on here I read that they are starting week 4 on Tuesday. What do they do during that week. It is hard to figure out where they are BC training. Thanks

well then hopefully the week he's still in GL will be a quick one! but i'm sure it'll take it's sweet time.... i was planning on bringing him his cell. although i read somewhere that if they come back to base with their cell phone liberty weekend they get in major major trouble. hopefully that was wrong, we'll have to see. thanks for your input!

Sooo.... :PP it's cool of you to get on here, i can tell you're already being bombarded with a million questions!!! my bf is graduating this friday, hallelujah! that is so cool you're close to your family i bet that makes it easier! now my question!!! after bc, how does the communication work? you have phases to work through at A school, right? like how much communication should i be expecting to get in the beginning? only weekends at first? or whenever he's free during the week? he stays in GL for a week, and then the aircraft they assign him to(he's an aviation machinists mate), will determine where he goes for school, he should of found that out this week. I thought this would never end! haha, thanks for taking the time to do this, it's hard to be at home, and not know whats is happening, and is gonna happen, and be at ease.
