Hi, Welcome to Navy for Mom’s. You will find lots of support, advice, information, and friends here!! All you have to do is read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join the group of moms from Texas!! We are the largest state group on this site!! (Everything is bigger in Texas - including Navy Moms)!!

Just go to the groups tab and type in Texas in the search box. The icon of the group is the state of Texas, of course!! If you can’t find that, click on my picture to the left and it will take you to my page. You can find the same icon there. Just click on it and you can join us!!

Please leave a short message about where you live and what your sailor is doing. Also, please let us know how you found Navy for Moms.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He is now stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia.

scrapbooking , sewing , quilting , tating, crocheting, crafts, just about anything i can do. I enjoy working with the kids at curch. Thats about the only place that i go beside the doctors .My husband is a good man he works all day and then he comes home and cooks, cleans and even does landuary. And i have alot of kids that are like my own. Well now much more to tell so i will check in from time to time.
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Thinking about joining
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That you have to keep encourging them to help them get through boot camp. My son went a year after high school. He had not been away from home. But i kept tell him that he couldn get through it with Gods help. If i didn't have my faith i don't know that i would have made it through. Because my daughter left to move to Green Bay right after he left. It was really hard both were gone. It was very hard to watch him grow up over night.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
