Hey fellow navy Moms: We just returned from a visit to Groton to see our son and we stayed on base at the new Navy Gateway Inns and Suites. VERY NICE! We did not get the suite, yet it was still very spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.…

Ladies, we were delayed today on or ride to Chicago because we are traveling with a baby (Alex's son) so I didn't make it to the Meet N Greet as planned. I'm so sorry and I was looking forward to meeting all of you. But the important thing is we are…

Thank you all for the tip on Simply Delicious. I had a cake delivered to Mark today for his 21st Birthday and it is better than I expected.

Hi Pamela,
My daughter Emily is also in Goose Creek. We finally got a call from her yesterday. You are truly blessed to have a son that calls you frequently. I heard that the food there is excellent and the rooms are very nice. They will be getting temps in the 60's soon. My Emily will love that!

That's funny! My husband said "oh please don't let it be Jordan that drops his". I am praying with all my might for him, and all of the others as well.

Take care!

Awe! You may have! :) He has short blonde hair and blue eyes!! - tee hee! :)

Quick question after noticing your links... since my husband is retired military... he gets his W2, LES statements, etc thru "my pay" on line. I asked Zach about this and he said they were getting hard copies of their LES, etc. We tried to sign him up for my pay, but were not able to do it without a user ID.....Did you discuss any of this with your son? I wanted to help Zach get his taxes completed for 2008...but, need his W2. He is supposed to check this week ...blah blah. But, wondered if you had any insight! Thanks Pam!

Pam!! GREAT PHOTO!! I love it!! It was so great to meet you and spend a little time with you! I will be praying for travel safety...etc...when you do the rewind in two weeks! I am so excited for you!
Did you get to see your other son at all during this past w/e? I looked for Nate all w/e...but, we did not see him. I did hear that his division was at the NEX about 60 min before we were there! ...so ..we missed that chance encounter...

Good luck in two weeks! Keep me posted! And...don't forget...please feel free to stop by while enroute to Charleston to crash for a night if you would like! :)

Pamela - You are such a sweetheart !!! Thanks for all the information - I read it to my husband and he laughed and said "are you ready to start packing and leave tonight?' - He knows how excited I am!!!! Ben is going to be a seabee and he is going to Port Huememe, California for A school - they say that is a great place to go, so maybe your son will get to go there - some go to Gulfport, Miss. for A school with seabee's - don't know where else they go for that!!!!

Pam - you are a sweetheart!!! Thank you so much for all the information - I ran off a copy and read it to my husband last night - he laughed and said " So are you ready to leave right now?' LOL He knows how excited I am - I am glad that it is not so important to get there at 6:00am - I read so many comments about everybody getting there early - and we have a 4 year old to get up and get ready at that early hour - so do you think it is okay to get there by 7:00 or so? The traffic is going to come as a shock to my husband since we live in a small rural town - I on the other hand have driven in Atlanta and other places ( I am an Ex-navy wife displaced from Norfolk, Va to the mountains of Kentucky) so I anticipate the worst. Thanks again for all the information. Now you can have a short rest until next week!!!!!
