Hi all! I had to check with my son. He forgot all about it. He finished A school and arrived in Norfolk the end of May and received his sign on bonus less than a month later. Pat

Dear Pat,
Congratulations on your son's pending wedding. How sweet is that, her father wants to marry them. That's going to be emotional for him!! HAHA!

Kim said they were last told the deployment will be in Februrary. You know the Navy, that could change. I'm not too thrilled where they're going. We just have to keep our faith going and trust in God.

I joke about that too about living in ALaska!! HAHA! You know what state I love, Massachuttes. I think it's so beautiful up there. I've been to a few differnt towns there. I was so hoping to go to Plymouth this year. We didn't do well with the taxes and had to pay this year! UGH!

I had plans since last year on going to Plymouth. Now last Sunday we lost the car, it officialy died. So much for Massachuttes!! UGH!

My older daughter plans to drive down to Virginia at the end of the month, of course without me. She said that I'm a pain in the butt, can't you feel the love! UGH! But, from what the girls want to do, I'm not interested in doing, like Bush Gardens. I would like to see Colonial WIlliamsburg, Virginia. Kim said that's about an hour from Norfork.

Let me get going. Stay cool if you can. SO far, it hasn't been to drastic yet!! We still have August! UGH!
Have a safe trip to Virginia.
Take care and God bless.

Dear Pat,
So good to hear from you again. The other mom for the USS Normandy, never replied back. I even went onto her My Page and left a message.

Have a safe trip going to Virginia. You driving or flying?
Out of boredome, Kim bought a car, and has driven up twice. My heart is in my throat when she does, it's a 7 hour car ride.

How does your son like the cruises? Kim loves it, she's ready to hit the high seas now! HAHA! You heard about the first cruise having four fires on board?

I like the way Kim told me , "We know how to put out fires" I'm glad to hear that, but there shouldn't be any fires to put out!! HAHA!!
Thank God this happened on a test run!

How's the summer doing where you are? So far, I can't complain. it hasn't been too hot and there has been a breeze everyday. I just pray that August doesn't come in like a tidal wave! God forbid!

I am not a summer person at all. Where are you, upstate New York or Long Island?

I'm the Bronx, right next to the Throgs Neck Bridge going to Queens and Long Island.

Let me get going. Please stay in touch.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara
