- About me:
- I am the very proud mother of two Sailors. My daughter Cara is an Ensign in the Supply Corp (currently active reserves) and my son Russ is a Sailor who will shortly be stationed aboard the USS Gary in San Diego. My husband and I are US Army Veterans (Vietnam) and our parents are US Army Veterans (Korea). Our family has a long tradition serving our Country - we have veterans of the Coast Guard, Air Force, Marines, Army and now, the Navy.

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Encouraged him/her
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- The Navy has been very good to both our children - they are experiencing life to the fullest and getting opportunities they would not have had locally! I have watched both of them blossom into mature, capable adults! If I were any happier in the selections they've made, I'd rupture at the seams!
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- Our relationship has grown stronger

Did you see tonight's new international Ghost Hunters? I laughed. You know the lead investergater, Robb, nothing ever phrases him. Well he jumped tonight!! HAHA!! I get a kick out of that show, it's fun when she find something.
I would never do it though, I'm chicken. The most I will do and have done, are the outdoor tours at night, in Salem, Massachuttes. We have some wild pictures from there. But that's all outdoors, 30 tourists and a tour guide.
I wouldn't be chasing any ghosts, never mind provoking them! HAHA!!
Let me get going. I greeted a bunch of new moms today. Do you know most of them replied back tonight. Most days, maybe one replies.

I wish my husband Doug would be active and make friends. He doesn't have a friend to his name and likes it that way! UGH!
I wish Cara all the best, good for her. And Russ too, that's great news!
Did I tell you about the ghost on the USS Normandy? I'm still laughing about this.
I watch the TV show Ghost Hunters, and they have investigated some Navy ships. As a joke, I was kidding Kim that Ghost Hunters were talking about their next investigation on the USS Normandy, her ship. I was expecting her to see "Cool!" or something like that. No, she said "It's about time" I said "what?" HAHAA! Supposebly there is one in the engine room, on her ship. The Sailors talk about it.
Then another mom here, told me her son, who's on another ship but also docked in Norfolk, VA, his shipmates also talk about it!! HAHA!
I guess it's the ship's mascot!! HAHA!! I can laugh about it, I don't sleep on that ship!! HAHA!

I love the picture of Marvin!!! He must be fun people, to dress up in costume!! That looked like a hot costume, he must have been been sweating in that!
But he looked so good in it......Johnny Depp eat your heart out !! HAHA!!
How is everything by you way? I'm doing good. Kim called yesterday, her and her ship mates are taking up Bible studies, I was so excited over that.
I hope to be getting a hearing aide soon and be approved for this hearing aide surgery for my other ear. My left ear did good with the hearing aide last week.
But I have to wait to get my own. UGH!
It hasn't really been to hot here, I just can't tolerate the heat! UGH! I can't wait until Fall!
How is Russ and Cara doing?
I hope their both doing well. Did Cara go into the Navy yet full time? Or is she still reserves?

I was looking to see if you had the picture of your husband at Davy Jones..
He must have been cute!! HAHA!! I did check out the website for this Pirate event. That looks fun. We don't have anything like that here.
We do have the Renisance Faire, that comes at the end of August. That's always a lot of fun. The girls and I even sometimes dress in costume.
How are you doing today? I lost track on what day it was, Doug took a four day weekend. Threw me off there.

How'd he get that honor!! HAHA!! I would love to see something like that! HHA!
I used to love being in a costume and play some character! HHA!! You've seen my Frosty the Snowman and and Mrs. Claus. I've done a clown as well.
Unfortunatly I did see it coming with my car. We always put money into it, and had it resurrected from the dead.! UGH!
The ship's mascot, the ghost!! HAhA!! I don't know if it's true., but another mom told me her son heard about it too!! HAha!
Kim loves the cruises. She's not crazy about her job though. I can't blame her. I'd be falling asleep staring at the radar screen. SHe said when she makes her second year, she wants to request for another job training in A School.
