There's nothing on our (USO Mayport) website for Pal Day either...but if you go into the USO they have a sheet & you can also pick up your lunch ticket. :)

Dusty, the list is out at the Mayport USO. Also, just an FYI for all...the lighthouse in St. Augustine is ALWAYS free to military & their dependents. :)

Hi Sarah,
I live in Jacksonville, too. My daughter is at the Naval Academy. The Navy is new to our family but I am learning it is an extension family. If you ever need anything or have an emergency know there is a Navy Mom across town on the Southside that can help. Thanks to you and your husband for your service to our country.
A Navy Mom,

Seems better now, I talked to him for a while on Sunday and his dad talked to him tonight. Although he did write on mayspace that "school is shizzz!"Just what does that mean? LOL I don't think it is good. I think it would help if we go get down there. I think he wants to show his dad around the base, but I am going out of town two times in the next month for work. Emily is going on a missions trip. Robin said she got to meet you! no fair! and her daughter is on your husbands ship, that is so neat she has a connection. Thanks for asking ....I always worry about him (and all the kids)....Kevin seems to think he is just fine LOL Will your husband be home now for a while?

Hi Sarah. I see that you are the Ombudsmen for your ship. Can you tell me what that is and does every ship have one? I have no information regarding my son's ship. Do you know if there is someone I can contact to get information? My son is on the USS Philippine Sea. I have a lot to learn! LOL This is a great site! Thank you!

Hey, we might have to take you up on your prior offer.
I think we might have a homesick sailor...
Kevin's gona call him in a day or two and see how he sounds. (dad's never too worried, so I do enough for everyone)
Thinking about being homesick making is me cry today :(

Hi Sarah,
Looks like I will be moving to Mayport soon. Was just wondering if you live on base or off? If on, do you like it & what about the schools there? I've heard conflicting things. I'm very torn as to what to do & I've never lived on base. If you would like, you can email me privately so that I can ask even more questions! LOL I'm waiting on my house here in SC to be sold & we do seem to have someone interested in it. We will see. It's a slow market! Please keep in touch! :)

Just wondering.....we've been to a few and Navarre Beach is our favorite. We kind of had in our thoughts that we would not like the "east" side of FL like we do the gulf side BUT your beach pictures look really nice and peaceful. We've been to Daytona Beach, Cocoa Beach and Ft. Lauderdale (didn't much like) we like the soft white sand LOL We've teased Andrew about meeting us in Pensacola. We told him we are getting to old to drive to Mayport. But after seeing your pictures we could change that. I sent him a "bucket"full of candy for Easter (kind of bucket like you take to the beach to play with LOL).
