Hi, I suggest that you contact or visit the head of Pediactrics at any of our hospitals. Being a dependant you probably use Balboa. Who better to give you advise than a Pediatrition.

HI MOM, well, She had officially left and I believe that without all of your help for the past 18 years Shannon would not be the STRONG, CONFIDENT Young lady that she is. I will miss her, as I know you will... But, SHe will be the best Sailor we Know.
Love you mom

Dear Grandmother Ludwig:
Hello & Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them (pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me.
So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you. :D
Sincerely, Catherine
PS: I loved reading your story! :D

About me:
I truly hope that 'Grandma's' can be a part of this great web site? Having been in the NAVY 'way back when' Boot Camp was in Bainbridge, MD, my 'PRIDE' button was pushed when my granddaughter, Shannon, told us that she was joining the NAVY. Originally it was the Coast Guard, but, quite honestly, they just didn't have their 'act' together and royally screwed up paperwork, delaying Shannon's departure date. Needless to say it's their loss and the NAVY's gain that she leaves for Great Lakes on Wednesday.

Shannon's Grandpa retired from the NAVY after 21 years. I was able to leave the NAVY if they were unable to station us together. Needless to say, he was a destroyer sailor, Radarman, actually, and I was a Radioman. Unfortunately, back then, women weren't allowed to be aboard ships. We've come a long way, haven't we.

Those three years I spent as a WAVE, RM3, were some of the happiest I would come to know. So I settled into life as a military wife, raising two children and working in the medical field for 38 years. Now I can watch my 5 grandkids. (ages 8-21), grow and each enter a different phase of their life.
I am here to support or represent my:
Shannon
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Support her in all of her endeavours and love her more than she can imagine
