Hi Rhonda! Type Google Alert in your search engine. You should have an option pop up of signing up for google alerts. When you get there, put in USS George Washington. It will send alerts about anything that has any or all of that name in your alerts, but it has enough with it for you to see if it is actually about GW. Hope this helps! I'm not real good at telling anyone how I have done things, it's like I stumble across things, then just follow instructions, (hopefully haha)! Good luck!

I know what you mean about the holidays. Daniel doesn't get to come home either but he left for Japan last Dec. so he spent his b-day and x-mas with out us. He said that he really had a good time tho anyways. He said they decorate the ships with x-mas lights and stuff. Your son prob. doesn't want you to worry about him. As for a gift I am buying my son a Navy ring that I found, I sent him the link to his email and he looked at it and liked it. If u r interested let me know and I'll send it to you. They must be having some x-mas parties to cuz Daniel sent me a link to the Gap where he was ordering some dress clothes and said he had a x-mas party to go to in Dec. They work hard but those boys have alot of fun. Daniel tells me some of the running around they do on there free time. Don't know if I've made you feel any better but I hope so. If you ever need to talk just let me know.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Letting him go, you want to protect them and help them when they fall down. So I have to realize that he is a young man and that he will go through tough times, but,he will be ok :)
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made
