Hi everyone - I just spoke with Kaye's husband. Kaye's surgery went well and she is now in the recovery room "seeing purple elephants" as Andrew said. Everything went as scheduled, no deviations or surprises during surgery. Great news!!!!

Please keep Kaye in your prayers this morning as her surgery was scheduled for 10am - just a few minutes ago. I've asked her husband to call me once she is out of surgery, so I'll post something once I hear from Andrew.

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To continue to encourage and trust my son. He has proven that he was raised with good morals and compassion for others. It's time to let him stand up for himself and be proud of the man he has become.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Rhonda- Just wanted to pass on to you that Quincy passed his comps today. We are headed to GC for graduation on Friday. He will be headed to NY soon. Where is Andy ? Still in GC or NY? I pray prototype is going well for him and that you and the family are well.

Hi Ronda, So glad you had a great week with your son, How far does it take him to drive back to GC?
We have enjoyed having Joseph home. It has been so crazy though!! He leaves Monday to go back to GC.
Is Andy a MM or EM, Joseph is a EM, maybe they might be in the same Prototype class!

Is Andy renting place ? Joseph and two of his friends are renting a house, it is really nice, about 5 miles away from the base. We was able to see it when we were visiting, it's big house but no furniture:)
His Dad and I bought them a few essentials, you know paper products, silver ware, plates, glasses lamps light bulbs:) least they will not have to worry about room inspection:)

Yeah I am so happy for you. I knew he could do it!!! enjoy the time he is home. Joseph has been home a week already, the time is going WAY to fast. His friends have been over at the house no stop!!!. The doggies are so confused, we still do have one more week.Tomorrow evening we are having six couples over for dinner that have known Joseph for many years, they just want to see him and visit with him. well got to go. blessings to you and your son. Oh Rhonda-how wonderful. I thought about Andy all day today. Thank you o much for telling me his good news.
Congratulations to Andy. Have a wonderful visit. How long will he be home?
Quincy i doing well. He is actually liking this recent bit of classes. Olivia is about 2 week away from completion of her A school and should be home soon also.
Thanks again for the update and please continue to update me. I love hearing about our children, oops, sorry, sailors.

Rhonda: I just read your note, and I'm sorry he has to re-take the test. I'm sure he'll do fine next week, and then you can have him home for a few days. I'll send up special prayers for you all. Keep me posted, and I'll see you soon. Maggie

Derrick did pass and were in Goose Creek Now. Is was awesome to get to see him yesterday. Patiently waiting for him to get free today.

Ronda, my son told me about 30 have to re-take the test.We are all so heartbroken for all of them.
Please remind him he is still a champion and we are so very very proud of him. Joseph was telling me how HARD the test was(60 pages) and that he was Soooo stressed out. When i saw, him he looks so very tired and exhausted.
Glad your son gets to come home for a while. Remember irratations make a pearl!!! your son will come out stronger and more determined than ever.
