Hello friends, Just had a different N4M experience...my son who goes back to SD Mon. sat with me and looked at some pictures that different people posted. Interesting to hear about the places and knowing that he knows some of your sailors!

Sandra, they are great pictures. I was thinking as I looked at all of the different settings/backgrounds how grown up they all look! I forget that our kids are really men and women!

Hi Robin!!!! I'm so happy to hear from you!!!! Christopher is going to be home for 2 wks!!!! Thats awesome!!! How is he doing??? It doesn't seem possible that they graduated almost a yr. ago!!!! How are you doing?? I bet you can't wait to have him home!!!!! Have you heard from Esther?? I think about you guys so much...wish we could get together sometime. David is doing great!!! He will graduate Nov. 12th...He still loves the Navy. I've been going through "David withdrawal" lately!!! You know how that goes!!! I'll be going to his graduation. Can't wait. No I will not be going to homecoming, my Sailor said that he is working the day after they get home. Then he will be looking for an apartment, he can pay rent now that is a PO2. So he want to find a place before he comes home for two weeks. So he asked me not to go because he said he will not have time to spend with me and that he will see me soon anyway.
I'm disapointed that I will not get to meet any of the Navy moms.......

Your lucky that you got out. I wish that I could move, south if I could.
I love the weather in San Diego, but it the cost of living in San Diego is like
NY. If my son settles in San Diego them maybe I would end up there. But
I have my daughter here, she is going to be 24 this month. She doesn't live home but I'll still very involved in her life, she would be very upset if I moved. She already says that I favor her brother. It not true of course we
all love all of our children the same, it's just they require different things.
Yes Michael and I are very close, I think closer then my daughter and I.
We do more together.

Yes I was going on the TC? I also hope that everyone is ok and they are cancelling it to prevent any further spread. But being in good good physical condition should help those who do get sick to fare better.
Can't say I have heard of Pittsford. When did you move out of NY?

This is Michael first long deployment. And this restriction has happened
maybe twice or three time at the most. I just hope the Tiger Cruise and
the homecoming do not get changed.
How old is your son? Michael is 25.

Went I didn't talk to Michael last weekend he said that not that many Sailor
were sick. And ones that were sick were not bad.

Robin,
No my son doesn't have an internationl phone. But he is an IT and he sits at
a desk with a phone and a computer, so he gets to email me alot and call
more often then most. But I was told that some of the Sailors buy phone
cards, and that is what they call with.

It's www.mynavyonline.com. Much different than this one, but full of wonderful and very supportive people. You ever want to have a questions answered about the Navy, go there. Very knowledgeable people. We have several active Sailors and quite a few retired one's as well. Along with many family member who know the Navy very well. :)
