My son and his wife live in an apartment in Yorktown. It's a bit of a drive (she works at Oceana and he's on the Bush) but it's a good neighborhood.

About me:
My name is Robyn and I'm a single mom of 4....my oldest daughter lives about 30 miles away and is doing an Engineering internship; my son David is my Navy guy, stationed in Norfolk on the USS George H W Bush, which is a carrier that's not yet commissioned; Steven is my 17-year-old and a junior in high school; Jessica is my "baby" and she's 14. I work for Parks and Recreation as a supervisor/scorekeeper for youth and adult sports and I also work part-time on an alpaca farm. I'm also a breeder of Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. I met my significant other about 4 years ago through my job at Parks and Rec!

Was proud, Was relieved
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
there are other military parents out there who really understand and are very supportive during both the good as well as the tough times.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Just spoke with Tim and although he sounded tired he had a really great time with David as always! I am so glad he got a chance to get down there to see him and also that Jake finally got to meet David. They work practically next door to one another and had only spoke on the phone. Always nice to put a face with the voice!

Hi Robyn, Just had to let you know that Tim is sitting there with David as we speak!!!! He called to let me know that he got down there OK and sounded so happy to see him. He just clicked with David from the beginning and they still have a great time together. I wish that David and his wife could have come up here for Christmas, but Tim said no. We are close, but not that close to come up for a day. It is about a 5 hr. drive and the train a little longer. I hope you are ready for the holidays. I have done nothing but bake and do some last minute running around today. I am exhausted! At least it is quiet tonight with Tim not around. I like the break, but am glad he is coming back tomorrow. As far as my older son....well I get time in between NINA right now! I knew this day would come and will too eventually for Tim! Talk to you soon!

Hi Robyn, I talked to Tim and he wanted to know 2 things. If David got a new cell # and if he was coming home for the holiday? I guess he has been trying to get a hold of him, but since Tim has not been around the states for awhile just assumed he changed his cell. Just let me know what you know if you can. My kids made fun of me for joining this N4M's thing and now they ask me to come on here and contact people for them! Go figure! Hope everything is good with you and hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
