All of you fellow Nuke Moms, enjoy your babies. Mine's not coming home this weekend since we will be going up on the 5th. My baby turned 16 today, just got back from his surprise party. They grow up so fast don't they?

Hi Ronda....how is Josh doing? Has he classed up yet? Some of the kids that arrived that week did class up but I guess not enough kids there for 2 groups. Joel should class up this Monday with the new kids coming from GL. We had a great him with him this past weekend, really started to know our way around. Charleston was beautiful!

I was so glad that we could help - your son was so sweet and we enjoyed having him with us - The keel book and video did not come with the pictures - it will come later on - it said 4-6 weeks before you get that. Is that all he is missing? Did Josh make it to his A school? Ben got to California yesterday and he loves it there. Keep in touch -

Ronda - I will pm you my cell phone. Let me know what your plans are and how I can help with picking you up for meet and greet - PIR or whatever you need. We are staying at Springhill Suites in Waukegan - it's not too expensive - they have grad. special and it's only about 10 min. drive to base. Reviews say it is very clean and is newly built. Just let me know!!!

Hi Ronda, I would really advise you to look for a Hotel closer to GL! Traffic in downtown Chicago and to North Chicago is notoriously bad at times, (don't forget $/coins for the tolls!) plus I believe they are starting some road construction all around the RTC-base. You want to maximize your time with your Sailor and you will need to drop him off every night and pick him up every morning if he is not "Grad and Go" and doesn't have duty. You'll also want to arrive there by about 6:30a.m. on PIR morning, that's an early enough wake up time if you're near GL! You can buy a $5 per person weekend Metra Pass to take the train into Chicago to sight see, otherwise you will need to rent a car to get around everywhere else. Have you looked at booking a room at the Navy Lodge? It's safe, clean close and reasonable. I suggest that you take the time to read through our PIR forum on site. There are LOTS of reviews of hotels etc. that would guide you to a satisfactory and budget friendly places that aren't dives. As one who has been there already, just thought you should know. Congrats to your Sailor to be and enjoy the trip and PIR experiance, it's amazing!!! :-)

Hi Ronda,
Your son is very handsome. Johnny's daughter's name is Hailey. Today she gave her mommy her first deep, hardcore laughter. I can't wait for Johnny to see her. His father is not active in his life (Johnny wrote him a letter in Jan. for his birthday and he never wrote back). It was what was expected. I think that is what's going to keep him trying to be the best father he can be. I am going to try and make it to the meet and greet. I can't wait!!!!!!

Ronda - if you are coming by yourself and you need me to pick you up for Flanagan's or PIR, please let me know - I know it would be scary to be by yourself in a strange place? We are going to drive to PIR and we have a mini-van with plenty of room - same thing for Thurs. night - don't hesitate if you need anything......

Yes, we need one more. Is Julie taking the 2 extra you have? Not sure what to do about names either. I know I have exchanged some personal info. with another mom using personal message. I will try to reach you that way. You may have to accept my as a "friend" before I can do that. Thanks.
