Thank you for your response. His recruiter said he is getting his clearance from BUMED before he goes to sign his contract and take his physical at MEPS. I trust the Chief who is handling his enlistment process. He told me that his job is to make us…

Maam, I've never seen that happen. When MEPS send the medical waivers up, it goes outside of MEPS and to BUMED which is "big navy medical", they have the final say whether it comes from MEPS or Bootcamp. I highly doubt that you need to worried about…

Profile Information

About me:
I am a previous sailor myself (1983-1987) and met my husband while in boot camp. My husband retired in 2003 and now we are proud to say we are Navy parents. Our son Dave is a CE stationed with NMCB 7 and my youngest son, Josh who just graduated from high school is looking into joining the Navy and seriously considering the NUKE program. On a personal note, we live a nice quiet life in the woods of Connecticut. Love hiking, bike riding and fishing. I am a compulsive knitter (consider it therapy). I look forward to exploring these boards and getting to know other Navy parents!
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
You will never know what you are capable of until you try... and if you fall you're Navy family will always be there to catch you.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
