About me:
I'm Sandra a mom of 4. Hector is 22 and is my oldest son. He is stationed in San Diego but was just deployed to Kuwait (second time around). I am sooo proud of him. But I am also so scared. He is a great son and older brother. I live in Longmont Co. Am new to this. Would love to meet people online and also would really love to meet people in my town or close to where I live so that I can maybe join any type of support group. If anyone knows of any.. please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. My son was able to get a cell phn when he first got to Kuwait were we could text every day. But it's been a few wks now that I have been texting him and he hasn't returned my texts. I have not heard from him at all. I'm very sad. I guess he's just out there doing his job... I was too spoiled in thinking I could talk to him all the time I wanted...
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

HI Sandra.
My son is on the USS Ronald Reagan now. I plan on meeting him in Hawaii
in October for the Tiger Cruise. I am so excited. We lived in Hawaii for
5 years.. My husband was stationed at Schofield Bks, and my son was born
at Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu. This is his 4th deployment.
Being a military wife...it is never easy....and frankly its harder saying
good-bye to your child than a husband. My husband has been retired from
the Army (E-8) got 16 yrs now. .I miss it more than him..
I have a daughter in Denver, and she has 2 boys..One is 16 and the other
is in heaven..He passed away Oct.2005 from cancer at the age of 9.
I am hoping my son finds his sole mate...I want more grandchildren!!
Take care.. Keep in touch..
Karen

Hi Sandra, Thank you for adding me as your friend. I hadn't heard from anyone for a while. Please thank your son for me. My son was also stationed in San Diego. But right now he's in training for deployment. This was and is very hard for me. He's my youngest. My oldest is also in the Navy Reserves. He's doing very well. He's still here in town, so with him its not so hard. There's times that I'm ok but than theres times that I miss him so much. But I am very proud of him because he has matured and he has become very independent. I can just imagine how you feel not hearing from your son , but I'm sure he's fine he's just doing his job. (again thank him for me)Theres times that I dont hear from my son and it just breaks my heart, but i have to be strong. At first I didnt understand because this all new to me but now its getting a little easier. All we can do is to make sure we constantly let them know how proud we are of them and Always pray for them. Thanks again. Love Rosa.

I guess just not hearing any word is a killer~ Thank You So Much for your Words of Encouragement. I try not to "tear-up", to keep my two lil' ones from worrying, it sure is a trial, huh!!?? :D Thanks Again~ Love, Heather~
