About me:
Hi
I am a mother of 3 and Jeramia is my oldest and is now in boot-camp. This is not the first time he has been away from me but it is the first time I have no control of how much contact I can have with him.
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was confused, Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I am still learning, but I also learned that he is growing into a fine Man. God Bless Him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, The Navy has a lot to offer

Sandra - It is called Foster's Creek Villas. The # is (843)764-2120. Go to www.militarynewcomers.com/NWCHARLESTON/resources/07.html. This is a site for the Naval Weapons Station Charleston. If you go to the page for Morale, welfare and recreation, you will find all kinds of info about things on the base. The info is on page 4 of 6 at the top. There is also another place about 20 miles away with cabins on a lake. It is called short stay outdoor recreation area. It is on page 5. I am on another site (navy-parents.com) also. Two or three people have said how nice the villas at Foster Creek were. Hopefully I made a good choice. Keep me posted. I'd like to know if you do go how you like them. Also - is your son in the Nuke program? If so, are you planning to go to the A-school graduation? Our boys may be in the same class. Let me hear back from you. Where do you live? Back to the villas - I called and got the info. They were very nice. My son then had to call and make the actual reservation, but I think you could probably make it your self if you had all his info. My son said all they asked him for was his name and rank. Since we are going Thanksgiving week our reservations are non refundable. We have a 4 bedroom (didn't ask about bathrooms - hope there is at least 2) for $75./night. Anxious to hear back from you. Melody

Well summer has gone and I am sending the other kids off to school. I has been over 6 month since Jeramia has been gone, and it doesn't get any easier. Soon he will be home for the holidays and I feel for all those family that have members over seas and will not be returning for a while. I wonder if the time flys for Jer, like it does for me. My daughter is a seinor this year and my baby is a on the varsity football team. I remeber when my husband and I celibrated the day that we sent Isaac off to kindergarten. I was a melon-colly happy that I was feeling and that is how it felt when they set off for school Tuesday. Weird how our life revolves in a circular motion.

Hi Sandra,
Where is Jeramia at? Beau is in Gulfport, Mississippi. He too bought a new cell phone yesterday and an ipod today. He's absolutely loving it so far. Sure is a world of difference between bootcamp and 'A' school!!
Sincerely,
Bobette

Hi Sandra, We had a wonderful time at graduation. I was so proud of our sailors at PIR!! Andrew has grown up so much in these past few weeks. He has not gotten his orders yet, but told me he will call as soon as he does. I know exactly what you mean about this goodbye being harder, I had a heavy heart leaving on sunday. I cried all the way to the airport. But I know that this is such a good thing for him.
