Dee... My daughter, Emma, hopes to get stationed in Guam with my son (AJ). If one thing keeps me semi-sane at the whole thought of Boot Camp and A school again is that it might be possible for them to be around each other. And I already have the 13t…

My son called last night and sounded SO much better than the call last Friday from him. They found his bags, delivered them to him and he was looking forward to unpacking finally. He said he went to a fiesta a day or two after he got there and had a…

Hello Sandra, I am in the beautiful Pacific NW also. My son just got to Guam last week. He is a CM so he will not be on a sub or ship. What part of the Pac NW are you from?

Holy Smokes, Sandra! It's been soo long, toooooo long really. While it seems like just yesterday that we were standing there chatting away at the meet n greet and now you have a Sailor in Guam and your daughter will grad HS this weekend and meet with the recruiter on Monday. WOOOW! What a fierce amount of pride you must have in them. I sure don't eny you the whole boot camp thing all over again - but at least this time you will know the ropes and it wont seem so dag gum difficult. Plus, you'll already know where to stay in GL. LOL. How is your Sailor loving Guam?? I've never been there, but of all the over seas duties that's the one I'm gonna push my Sailor towards when she leaves Bangor in a couple years. Thanks for catching up with me. I am always here too, but rarely post anywhere. You're a peach for checking in with me. Let's stay in touch.

Hi Sandra! Thanks for making sure we had a chance to talk at the meet n greet. I was a little overwhelmed, we had lost our rental key and very nearly had to skip the whole shibang. I'm glad we found it in time though and were able to attend. Did you enjoy PIR and how was your Sailor??
