Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
You need to really keep an open mind about things because they can change from minute to minute. Supporting you Sailor is your #1 priority - it doesn't matter how you feel about things - you just need to be there to encourage and support them...
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

What keeps me sane ...

Psalm 56:3-4
"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

Hi Sandy,
Was just thinking of you today. I will give you a call soon. Sean is doing good. He's in class and its going well. They changed the class to instructor taught rather than self taught on the computer. It is taking half the time to complete the class. I had thought he wouldn't be done till almost Christmas but guess it will be about the middle of Sept.. We are trying to get away this weekend to Wisconsin Dells, hopefully Sean will be able to get away and meet us there. Of course he won't find out until Thurs if his paperwork is ok'ed. There is a train he can take to the Dells, I think its about 3 hrs away. It will be really nice to have everyone together. How is your little grandson doing? Sounded like you had a good visit with TJ. I'm not sure where Sean will be going after A school. I think most of his 1st choices require more training. Which is fine with me. It is almost a year that they have in. Most of the time it seems like it has been that long. Sean will have been at Great Lakes a whole year. Hope all is going well for you. I will give you a call next week after we get back. Take care Mary Beth
