This is Michelle in her utilities in A school. This is most likely how she usually looks on the ship. I'd be willing to bet that last picture was taken just before going out at the last port. :)

Pat, thank you. She had put on some weight while waiting in SD and said she's really taking advantage of this time to work it off. I don't know whose rack that is with the little teddy bear on it.... but isn't that so cute!! Her rack is to her right.

Oh yeh, and she got a package I'd sent her a few days before they arrived at the last port, so I guess they can get mail while out. I had wondered that.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Don't try to plan anything around when your navy person is supposed to be home. Other than that, the Navy has been the best thing my daughter ever did for herself.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

My daughter, Elizabeth, is AO, G-3 on the Nimitz. She hasn't been very good about letting us know what's happening! I do know that she is trying to get some musicians together. Apparently she bought a violin when they stopped in Japan and asked me to send her all her sheet music that she had here. How is you daughter doing? I haven't been been on the computer for several weeks and I am trying to catch all the different groups. So many changes daily!

Hi Sans Me,

I know the feeling I'm getting right now is something so deep..................I know it's getting close and I dread the day when he's going to say to me goodbye.......Gush I hope they call soon after they start their deployment. I talk to him everyday since he got there on the 4th of July. He graduated from meridian Mississippi as a SK and had order for Point Magu. He's attached to VAW-117 wallbager squadron. I hopeI get to talkto some of the parents or wifes that have loved ones in this squadron so we can keep in touch with our kids. He gets along really well with the squadron and they all seem to know that he's a little nervous lol...........If you know of anyone that is in the same squadron let me know.....Take care

have a son on the Nimitz. Come join our group, Nimitz. Be sure you sign up with the ship's ombudsman so you can be kept in the loop when they deploy this summer. My son took me on the ship in Jan, that thing is huge. I don't know how they ever learn their way around in there:)
