Sara,
My daughter PIR'd with your son on January 2nd. Did you get any good pictures? OUr camera would not cooperate and most of our shots came out dark and fuzzy looking! I would really appreciate any that you have and would be willing to share! Thanks in advance and congrats on your new sailor! Lesa

Hi Sara, I read about what happened to your son and asked my sailor about it. He said they might have given him some unpopular watch or some grunt work that no one likes. They might even "IT" (intensive training) him, but they get that once in a while anyway. He said if your son is a good recruit, it won't be a big deal. He also said that the other recruits in his division will help him get through it. My son had a strange thing happen to him in bc for which he got ITd by another division's commander. He said it was tough, but the guys in his division gave him a big "Hooyah" when it was over and that was worth everything to him! Your son will have so many amazing stories to tell when this is over!

Sara - The Navy will not do anything to your son since you ran out of gas. Things happen and they know that. They will likely make him sweat it out and think they are going to do something so that he learns a lesson but more than likley they will do nothing. If you are late in the fleet checking in off of liberty they yell at you and tell you to never do it again. If you are late again then they might give you some BS duty for a few months. Late a third time then they would do something about it. He will be fine.
