Hi Serena. I'm doing ok,Brandon doesn't have his cell phone yet. It's killing me! Its good to see that you & your husband survived as a Navy couple, sometimes it just seems so overwhelming I'm hoping we can make it through b\c I'd be lost without him!

HI Serena,
I haven't talked with you in awhile. Where is your son's A school. I see you joined the AECF-FCs and ETs. My son Rich is Groton,Connecticut for sub school, but will be going to A school for ET or possibly FT. He called me on his friends cell phone, so we are trying to get his phone to him. I think as soon as he gets his phone we will hear from him more often. He seems to like Groton, says its really scenic. Keep in contact

Hi Serena, I'm from WV too, so I thought I should say "Hi". Brandon had the same PIR date as your son.

Sara called couple of times today, she went and bought a GO Phone until she gets her phone, I am going to mail it tomorrow. She has 2 roomates and is just wandering around getting used to things, she says she doesnt know what to do with herself because in BC every minute was scheduled for them and someone was always telling them what to do.

Hi Serena!

Jordan just called about an hour ago, he is all settled in and has 3 room mates that happend to be in Div. 913 with him, he did not give names he really just called to check in and give us his address so we can send his laptop to him.

He said that his OS school is not going to be starting on the 23rd as planned because there is a backlog of recruits for the OS program, we had heard something about this so we weren't surprised.

I believe the school is 3 months long and then with the waiting time and some other classes and such he will probably be there for 6 months!! He isn't too upset about it, I guess they find things for you to do and you do have quite a bit of free time.

We told him to find out ASAP if he gets weekend Liberty while he is waiting for school to start, since we are only 7 hours away we will be taking a few trips to see him.

I am sure that Tyler is getting settled and will call you real soon. Please let me know when you hear from him.

I will keep him in my prayers.

Take care and keep in touch!

Hi Serena, Tyler won't know where his C school is until about two weeks before he graduates from A school. He could go to Damn Neck but there are a few different schools for the FCs. It just comes down to what orders he receives - that will drive the school/location/length of C school. My hubby was an FC and he did go to C school in DamnNeck but our son is currently in Dahlgren for his C school. If Tyler gets Aegis orders - it is only taught in Dahlgren. CIWS and Tomahawk are taught in San Diego so it comes down to the system that he will be working on. Hubby loved being FC, for Nick it is too early to say...he's been in school for the past year but I will tell you that C school is much better than A school. C school is instructor led, very small classes - only 5 students in Nick's class. They start as a group and graduate together. There were FCs in Nick's A school graduation that he had never seen. A school mixes up the FCs, ETs, GMs and ICs during the ATT program and even the A school is a computer driven program so they can mix the rates as they are working on computer modules. C school is much more specialized to their field of work. I do believe Nick is going to enjoy FC but sitting in classes is not as fun as actually doing the job! Don't hestiate to ask questions.
