My daughter was pretty sick - possibly strep throat. She was very emotional - probably made worse by her illness. She did really well in BC and was a true leader - so it hurt me to see her so vulnerable. She hated having to go back to the same ship that they were in for BC - and was not allowed to take her cell phone. She has to report to the other side of the base on 9-30-09 and she thinks that her orders show that she doesnt report back until 10-5-09. We are hoping for that as she says that she will come home. I did, however, see that some CO's will not allow them to travel over 300 miles - and I think that we are just over that. If that is the case her boyfriend (or now it is her fiance) will go up an see her this coming weekend i am sure. I really want to see her and talk to her - by myself. It was wonderful seeing her this weekend - but I would like to have some time to talk to her one on one. I told her and fiance that I want her to focus on A school - not on a wedding. We are hearing that the "undesignated's" are going to Iraq - so i want her to stay focused.
