Hey Sheri,
That is great about Brandon. I am glad to see he did not have to wait as long as Dakota did for classes. I am sure you will be just pleased to have him home. I can tell you it does not get any easier saying goodbye when it comes time for them to leave again. My husband has a fit..he always tells me I have to stop with the crying when he comes home and leaves, because it makes it that much harder on Dakota. Dad's will never know how a mom truly feels. Japan sounds exciting. I know it is so hard to see them go on with their lives that far away, but you are sooo true, we need to let them follow their dreams, and just be here for them. I will keep you up to date with Dakota, and I will be with him in 16 days. I will make sure I post pics for you to see.

Hello Sheri,
Sorry it has been awhile since I checked in with you. I have been crazy at work. July and August tend to be busy with the boys from my group home being out of school, and we have been taking advantage of the warm weather and doing some needed house repairs on my days off before my trip to see Dakota.
Hope all is well with you and your family. How is the Sailor doing? Dakota finally started classes this past Tuesday. He was so excited. He has a tentative grad date of October 9th. and is hoping to be home for 2 weeks after that. They put in their final wish list, and he has picked, Hawaii, San Diego and Mayport (it is part of the Jacksonville Base). He is really hoping for Hawaii. He has decided that once he is finished with this training, and when it is time he is going to apply for officer school. He has always wanted to fly, and since beingin Pensacola, and watching the Blue Angles, he has really gotten the fever for it.
Well, I need to get reasy for work. It is my overnight shift so I will be at work from 10 tonight til 9 tomorrow morning. Take Care.

Hey Sheri,
I too think of you often..Glad to hear that Brandon made it to Missisippi ok. Ya that hold stuff is very familiar with me. I bet it was hard not having him there for his birthday...I went through that in April with Dakota. I did send him presents and a cookie cake.
In 70 days I will be in Pensacola with Dakota...I can not wait...It is a wonderful thing when you can talk to them everyday, it truly helps with the seperation..Take Care and have a nice weekend....Tammy

Sheri,
I am so happy for the both of you, it is amazing how much of a change in them after not seeing them for such a long time...I remember i cried when i saw Dakota, he had lost so much weight and too grew up so much..We too went to the Gurnee Mall that night for dinner and alittle shopping..I remember listening to him talk, and squaring his corners when he walked down isles in stores, and picking up garbage that was laying on the ground. It is such a wonderful transition to see...I wish Brandon all the luck with A-school, and hopw he doesn't have to wait on hold as long as Dakota and others have....It does get much easier now that they can have cell phones..I will pass on your thoughts to Dakota when I talk to him again...Thank you so much for your thoughts for my husband and I...I think it is going to be a long road for my husband, but we are think positive and only telling Dakota as little as possible so he doesn't worry...Take Care and talk to you soon.
Huggs,
Tammy

Hello Sheri,
I am sooo sorry it has been awhile since I last wrote. It has been a little crazy here.. I had to have minor female surgery, and hubby has been having some cardiac issues..I see that Brandon has graduated...That is wonderful...Congrats on your new sailor....I know I don't have to tell you how amazing a feeling it was for you when those big doors opened, and then to actually hug him....I am so happy for the both of you..Where will Brandon be heading, and what is his rate? Dakota is still patiently waiting on hold in Pensacola, but volunteering for alot of watch/duty....says it keeps him busy...He just bought a car a couple of weeks ago, so he spends alot of time at the beach...he is 1st yoeman of his barrocks so he gets alot of privleges...
It is hard to believe he has been gone for 9 months today....It has gotten alittle better, but I still find myself missing him..I am going to spend Labor Day weekend with him..I can not wait..Can't wait to see pics of PIR, and again Congrats on that new Sailor...Huggs to you both!!!
