Our daughter is 21 and our son is 19 and in the Navy.
He joined with his cousin Chad so he is blessed to have family with him.

We live in the country and love all the aspects of country life.
My hobbies are cross stitch, ebay business and country living.
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To rely on the Good Lord to see me through this time in our lives.
Now that we are empty nesters,my husband and I have to learn to like each others company again.(lol)
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

He really wants to do this but me as his mom is having a really hard time. I have always been a worrier but now I am almost beside myself. I am very supportive of my sons decisions an… Continue

THE WARRIOR

This morning my thoughts traveled along
To a place in my life where days have long since gone

Beholding an image of what I used to be
As visions were stirred and God spoke to me

He showed me a Warrior a soldier in place
Positioned by Heaven, yet I saw not the face

I watched as the Warrior fought enemies
That came from the darkness with destruction for me

I saw as the Warrior would dry away tears
As all of Heaven's Angels hovered so near

I saw many wounds on the Warriors face
Ye… Continue

The kindness of Strangers

Hi Ladies, I know you all were as excited as I was for that Thanksgiving phone call. Coleton is in his 7th week of BC and this is only the 2nd phone call we have gotten so we were just so happy to hear his voice. I just wanted to share his Thanksgiving experience. My heart is so grateful to all who made his day wonderful!! He and his cousin got on a bus together not knowing their destination. They ended up at the VFW, they had set up computers, X-boxes, Lounge Chairs for relaxation and plenty of… Continue

New Proud Navy Mom

I seen this site advertised on t.v and thought i would look at it not thinking i would become a member. But after reading all these blogs by other Navy moms i just had to become part of it. In his senior year he decided to be an electrical lineman and was headed in… Continue

Did you know that they have 5 services on Sunday alone? one of the pastors told Daniel to come sunday eve. I think it is the 6:00 service, he said most of the young people go then. I will have to double check on the time. I think our sons need all the help and encouragement they can get from other Christians their age and it sounds like this church may be a answer. I'm pretty excited about our sons meeting. Daniel has to go back to the waterfront this coming Friday, but is pretty free until then. Maybe Coleton can text him or call and they can meet or something. I know we can't pick our kids friends but Maybe just Maybe????

Hi, Yep that's Daniel and that is his job, though it does have some good things about it, Ok, maybe just one. It was rough to start and I wish there had been a navy Mom to encourage us both, but Oh Well.
Does Coleton go to church? Daniel found one he likes 5 miles away if Coleton would like to go with him? Let me know. I know what you mean about going overseas, I know they are suppose to have to at some point but that would be hard to have them so far away.
