Sorry I haven't gotten back with you as of late. Glad to hear that Joe and Michelle have put a bid on a house up in Michigan. Does it look like they will get it and if so how soon will Michelle be moving back home. What kind of Shore Duty will Joe be looking for. Chris will be getting his orders soon as to where he will be going( I hope). The reason I haven't gotten back with you is it has been a very bad week. One of the kids that Chris went to school with was killed in Afganistan and they sent his body back. Went to the funeral yesterday and cried a lot. I knew the family because the boys played ball with Chris. Chris was close with the one brother. The family has three boys in the Army and the Father is in the Reserves. So it has been a very trying week for me.

Sheryl, Chris and Liz have put their place up for sale and are starting to pack things up. He is hoping to get shore duty soon, thinks that they will be moving around the end of December or first of January. I can't wait as that will make them about 4hr closer for me to travel. They will be up in New York and on the Map Quest it is about 9hr and 17min. Well can't think of anything else to say so will close for now and write when you can.

Sheryl, so how was the visit and has Joe changed much. Every time Chris comes home I am surprised at how much he has grown (not in weight, but in growing up). Would like to go down there for Thanksgiving but don't know if they will be out or if Liz will be coming up( if they are out). Just have to wait and see. I did change jobs and it is ok but decided that as soon as I can I will go back into retirement, just getting to old for this. Talk at you later, Norene

Hi Sheryl. Sorry it's taken me so long to accept your friend request. A lot going on. My son is coming to Texas on leave this Friday for 2 weeks and then he's on to Kings Bay, GA. He is really excited about his new duty station. I haven't seen him since his graduation in March so I'm really excited about his visit.

Hey girl haven't heard from you so I thought I'd drop you a line or two. I see we have a new member to our little group, Lisa and her Son will be joining the Blue Crew in about 6 weeks. How was Joe's visit? Bet he and family was glad to get home for awhile. For some reason I can't seem to get any pictures on my site again, but yes my little Granddaughter is cute and Allan is as handsome as ever. Liz said she is up to 13 lb now. I'm getting a different job, can't do my job anymore at Step 2, I hurt to much to continue. Will be working a new job cleaning offices, 8 hr a day 5 days a week at the same pay I am getting now. Hope you had a GREAT time with Joe and Michelle and family.

Hey I haven't heard from you in awhile so I thought I'd drop you a line or two. Chris and Liz had the little one. She weighted in at 9lb and 13oz and was 21inches long. Had some bruising around the head and face but is doing fine now. Allan isn't quite sure of her yet, but is warming up to her now. He gave her a kiss today and then went on his merry way. Chris just heard that he got 1st class. He is hoping to get Shore Duty soon, hope he does then he will be closer to family, later

Yes she is about 5 yrs old and really good with Allan. Allan can be a pistol with the dog. If he gets to rough with her, she gets up and leaves. Have you checked out the Florida group yet? I put that artical in from the Kings Bay Periscope. Hope you like it. Genia made comment to me about our group and also said about some of the Guys going to Banger Washington for some training. Has Joe said anything about it, Chris hasn't said anything about it! And then the training may not pertain to anythings our guys do! Later Norene

Sheryl, I did it, I finely figured out how to put a picture of my son on the web site. They showed me how to do that yesterday at our Navy for Moms meeting. I was able to put the one picture on of the Florida so I figured I would try it here and it worked. My Son is the one on the left and that is his wife beside him. That was when he was doing schooling at Goose Creek
