Hello everyone, just checking in. I had hoped not to recognize any names here. I will add your childrens names to my daily prayers and am counting on not seeing your names next time I check in. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, as you know…

Come on Kella! We're all pulling for you to mend quickly, pass that darned run and bid boot camp goodbuye. Everyone light candles, say prayers and bounce hugs off the moon so they land on Kella at GL. I know all your support and encouragement helped…

I believe in the power of positive energy. I think we should all pool our energy and all light a candle at the same time and flood Kella with well wishes, prayers and the oomph she needs to heal her tendonitis and pass those final hurdles on the way…

Oh Christine, poor Kella, I hope you get to talk to her soon, it sure was easier on us when we were in the drivers seat, eh? Your comments regarding religion were beautifully expressed. I totally agree with you.

Aw, so cute. Nette-I know you are leery about laying it all out there in public via Facebook or My Space. Trust me, there are plenty of safeguards in the settings that will guarantee your privacy.

Oh Valerie- my thoughts are with you, what a tough time for you, too much going on at once. Make sure you keep everyone as updated as you can but if you have a choice between grabbing some rest and chatting with the group choose your own health. We'…

That is fabulous Sue, good luck to Timothy and you. Pneumonia really sucks. Jacque fully intends to seek additional medical treatment on the A school side, he is still so under the weather and coughs non-stop.

Looking back through all the sailors pictures posted I can't help but notice that this is one darned good looking bunch of kids.

Amanda-My son did not talk long, they were all too anxious to exercise some freedom and get to the mall.

Got my call finally. Jacque is a sailor, he moved across the street last night and is delighted to be reunited with so many from his division who will remain at GL for A school.

I finally heard from him this morning. He was moved across the street last night. A few minutes into the converstion he finally said the words I was waiting to hear, it went something like, "Oh, by the way, I'm a sailor now" to which I responded, "I…

Hi Smoky Kwartz, I wanted to stop in and welcome you to AECF group. I have been out of town for a couple of weeks so I'm late in welcoming you. My son is an FC and recently joined his first ship...in Hawaii. Will your son be an ET or FC when he graduates from A school? Both are great rates with lots of schooling on the front end. Please let me know if you have any questions that we can help with.

He is in the FC A school so he did get weekend liberty and got to stay with us in the hotel for the whole weekend. It was wonderful. Please keep me updated on you and your family ok? Hey Smoky! We're going to get through this!! And so will our kids! They'll be as tough as they need to be to get the job done. If it doesn't happen this week, it will happen. We just need to keep the good karma and strong thoughts headed their way. We'll all get through this together!

Smoky - Your son sounds like such a strong individual. He must get that from you. God always has a plan, but he does not always tell us what it is. If for some reason, he gets delayed, there is a higher reason for it that someday, down the road, you will look back and say, "Wow, that's that HE had in mind!". Meanwhile, I will be praying that your son gets healthy. As only a mother knows, above all else, that is most important. Wish you were closer so I could wrap my arms around you, give you a big hug and tell you everything is going to be alright. [[[[[hugs]]]]]

.It was you! you're the one who said stormin' the gates! gates=castle

HA I'd like to see anyone try to arrest me for storming the gates. Maybe those RDC's seem big and bad to our children but they ain't nuthin compared to a mom who is on the warpath

There were some jokes going around the main discussion group about skulking around RTC on Thursday night trying to get a glimpse of our sailors ie"storming the castle"
silly, I know.

Hi there! My daughter is in ship 12 div 383. She is an identical twin. I read you have twins also. I wanted to give you information on the tickets question in case you didn't get an answer. your sailor had to write down 4 names on a master list. I was told that the list people are guaranteed in and everyone else is first come first serve. But there are no tickets as far as I know! I hope you get a call soon. A warning though, the first time you hear his voice, it's soo hard. I cried and then made her cry. We spent several minutes of our very few, trying to calm ourselves down. Have a great weekend! Hello again, No there are not actual "tickets". Your son places the 4 names of those he wants at graduation on a list. When you go through security at graduation, you have to give them the name of the recruit and their division & your name and show ID. Anyone under 12 years old does not ned to be on the list.
