Congrats on being a Grandma! Its great! I love it, I watched Jeff''s Ryan today, he will be 1 year old on friday. Soon I will have two little granddaughters too.
Just wanted to stop in for some advice. I have airfare, hotel and rental car all booked for PIR 06/19/09. Do you have any tips for GL. Good places to go, eat etc....? I will be traveling with my daughter in law and grand baby, driving from O' Hare to Gurnee (to hotel). How was the weather? What kind of clothes would be good to bring? Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated. How about parking rental car at GL? What time to get there grad. morn.? Is it along walk? Need to consider this with Crystal pregnant.

My name is Karol and I am a new Navy Mom also from Modesto, My son arrived at GL on April 27. So I am really new to all of this. I just received his address today, I feel much better now we can send our letters to him. I have two kids, one girl and one boy, and boy do I miss him. I am proud of him but still a Mom and worrying. It sounds like you are near the end of boot camp and so lucky to be going to GL to see your son. I will look forward to then, if I can go. It is nice to know that not only are there other Navy Moms out there, that there ones right here at home too. Nice to meet you. Take Care, Karol
