My Sailor is back in pensacola for now but will be stationed in Norfolk in 3 weeks!! :)

my son is also in Pensacola. He is awaiting AM school right now. Hes only been there a month but it seems you're son may be farther along and you might have information if I have any questions about this long process!!! Thanks hopefully we can talk…

I bet you are so excited to get to see him. If he is behaving.....he should have no trouble getting a brown bad chit. Best thing to do there is make sure they Chiefs only know who you are because you are doing GOOD....LOL And my son said "trust me they know who is serious about being here and who isnt" So tell him to keep his nose clean, follow the rules by the book, and fly under the radar and he will be fine. Find anything he can to keep himself busy and out of trouble. And each base is different about how they treat the phases, Pensacola is alot more relaxed than the Great Lakes Base. At Pensacola once you reach Phase 2 you dont have to sign out with a buddy anymore.

At 4:22pm on October 23, 2008, Kellie said…: oh gotcha!! lol mickey on has two phases, and in the 2nd he still cant stay over night alone, he has to sign out with two other guys, so that what he did when i came up, they went and stayed in chicago, and we stayed in great lakes, and then they just had to check back in together =) well then its up to you, i think i would wait till he got phase 3, then you could have him all night =) and not worry about other people =)

At 9:26pm on October 22, 2008, Kellie said…: oh yes! i deffinitly agree that A school is much better than bootcamp!!! lol the first month mickey was in boot camp i recieved no phone calls or letters!! lol so this heaven right now =) but i do hate the night classes, had has to take 12 days of night classes as part of his A school, thank goodness he only has 4 more days left, but we only talk for like 10 mintues in the morning inbetween musters and school, which stinks because he does get out until my 1 am. and im asleep by then, lol.

but that will be nice to rent a car =) and the navy lodge in pensacola is super nice!! if i can remember right its on the beach!!! lol and its like $59 a night, which is awesome, lol.

At 4:28pm on October 22, 2008, Kellie said…: lol when i went back it didnt fell like that...maybe because he got to go out with me and he was in civies, lol. it was much better than PIR weekend =) cause we got to be by ourself and do what we wanted =) a rental car would be nice....but i dontk think i could rent one cause im 18 and i think you have to be 21..im not sure though...it would be nice because we could go where ever we wanted when ever we wanted, but then again we dont know our way around chicago if we were to go, lolbut i have a little bit longer to think about it =)

At 4:13pm on October 22, 2008, Kellie said…: aaww i hope he gets it so you can see him!! im planning on going up november 14th for the weekend. make sure you have lots of cash if you are not renting a car for the weekend, a cab from the airport to ohaire is like $100, but a cab to the trainstation is like $30 then you pay like 2.50 on weekdays and 5.00 on weekends for the train (its a weekend pass) and that takes about an hour for the train ride, then you pay $10 for the cab to the navy lodge or where ever you are staying, lol but a cab from the lodge to the aiport is only $55.....just thought i would share with you =)
