About me:
My daughter Andrea will be leaving for boot camp in january. I love her very much and she makes me proud to be her mom.
I am here to support or represent my:
Andrea
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was confused, Needed to learn more about it, Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My daughter was gonna do what she wanted regardless, my support was very important to her and she needed me to be on her side not against her. Now I am very proud and I love her very much and I know that she will serve her country proudly.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

I miss my daughter!

Andrea left this past week for boot camp. I already wrote to her, but I don't know what to expect...I miss talking to her everyday, fighting, gossiping, I don't know..it just feels very strange not to know what is she doing, or if she is cold or unconfortable, I love her so much....

Hi Susana, thats great you got a letter. I am hoping i get another one this week. I still havent got my box so probably tomorrow i am going to have to start making some calls to see if i can track it down. Have you joined the PIR 3/13 group? you need to. you can talk with all of us with that grad date. I am still looking for people with his div number 114. I still have very bad days but they dont seem as bad as the first week. I thought I was going to die that week. I just keep praying it will get better. I just miss Robert alot and its hard to realize that he will probably never really live here with me again. He has started his own life. but we dont raise our children to stay children so we have to let them go become who they want. Just leaves a big hole in moms heart. I am proud and sad at the same time. I believe it will get better for all of us.

Susana, Hi! I am so glad to hear from you. It is wonderful to know that you got a letter from Andrea. I am glad she sounds well. They don't write much which still always leads us to wonder whats going on. I haven't heard from Ryan since my last letter which was dated on Jan 18th so I can't wait to hear from him again. I was hoping it would be today since I am going away for a few days starting tomorrow, but the mail already came and there was nothing. I am so bummed. I was upbeat for a few days after getting the first letter and then I crashed again, but this site has been the best thing for me. They graduate on 3/13 and I guess you know that already. If not, Now you do!! Ryan was made a Yeoman of his division, which I hear is a good thing and some kind of administrative job for the division. I am glad to hear that. Now that you know her division and ship, go and join your group if you haven't already. It will give you such peace of mind to hear from other moms in the same division. I will talk to you soon. Bringing my laptop with me, so I will be in daily contact with this site while I am away. Take care!!

Dear Susanna,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
I saw on your profile, Andrea hasn't left for Boot Camp yet.

She'll be fine and in good hands with the Navy. Once she gets into the rountine of Boot Camp and over being homesick, she'll like Boot Camp. They all do believe it or not. It's not as bad as us moms picture it.

It's the mom's having nervous breakdowns!! HAHA!!

Best thing for you to do is keep in touch with other Navy moms. There are also groups you can join, and I'm always around as well. Together, we'll help you through Boot Camp...we haven't lost a mom yet!! HAHA!!

I hope to hear from you again. HAve a wonderful Christmas.
Take care and God bless.
