Hey everyone... leavin out early Thursday morning.....hope everyone has a safe trip and be careful out there. YIPPIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
My husband and I will be staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Norfolk then on Saturday we're moving to the Fairfield Inn at Virginia Beach till Tuesday.
LOL...it sounds like we are all doing the same thing......pack for a little while, do some things in their room so it will be ready, but I find myself just wanting to be there and forgetting everything here! It's crazy! I do hope the weather is nice…
Morning ladies, my son called yesterday and boy was he having a good time! He was telling me the places he had visited and the pics he had taken. He said this port was worth it all..... he had such a good time!

- Hello Tammy, yes I am going to the homecoming. I am following my daughter in law as I will be driving my sons car to Norfolk as he will need it. It is hard to believe it is almost here! I am trying to figure out what kind of shirt to get made, maybe one that says navy for moms .com and then my sons last name on the back. Any ideas? My son get's a 96 hour liberty and will use some of that time for him and his wife to look for a place. She is still here in Michigan and plans on moving down late April. It would be so nice if us moms could meet. I have noticed the chatter is not what it use to be on here, maybe everyone is busy or could it be because homecoming is near we are not as heart broken and needing comfort, we are anxious and excited and counting down the days until we see our children again! Whatever the reason I am thankful for this site and have met many wonderful women here. Take care, Tracy

Gwen said… - Tammy...would love to meet you also, but we will be going to Mayport to meet the ship....Nikki has to get off there, because she is stationed in Jacksonville, I was sad when I heard that, but what can you do, so as for now we will go to Florida when I get the exact date....I suppose it will be a day or two before they pull in at Norfolk. Then Nikki has four days off and then back to work for 2 weeks, then she gets leave, and her and a friend are going somewhere for vacation.....I think they all need some time to adjust from this trip, and Nikki has been in 4 years in March so now she is trying to decide if she is staying in or leaving.....I think a few of us ladies that the kids are getting off in Florida are going to meet so that will be good, but really wanted to see that ship come in with all of them on it!!!
