Their are two types of aircrew, Aircrew Rescue Swimmer and just Aircrew. If he is the swimmer, then yes he will go to aircrew first. If he is not a swimmer, then no, he will not go to swimmer course.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Team is mentioned not practiced. Guilty unil you prove your innocent while a full investigation is conducted to find you guilty. The "Whole Person Concept" is really just something they say when they first meet you so you have a sense of belonging.. But will turn their back on you the second the have a chance to reduce manning.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
The lessons learned in the Navy could have been learned anywhere.
