You are very close. I recieved a phone call yesterday, which I actually missed, because I didn't have my phone with me. That will never happen again, I didn't expect for him to call again that soon. Thank God his girlfriend was at my house, he called her and I made it just in time to talk to him. He sounds so different already. This was actually my second phone, besides the quick one I recieved when he arrived at BC. The Navy is doing him well. I think it has alot to do with the fact that he is Section Leader in is division. Well, it was great hearing from you and becoming a friend. Hope to hear from you soon. Maybe we can get together. There are a couple of families that are in Mesquite, and Forney. Talk to you later
I know how you feel, my son left on 10/28 and it was the most overwhelming thing I have been through in a long time. He is in Great Lakes, IL. We too live in Mesquite. How old is your son, and what high school did he go to? I miss having him around the house, but what gets me through is lots of prayers and the reassurance that he is in God's hands. I know that this was harder for me then it was for him, but I know that in this uncertain world, he is better off in the Navy. He graduated high school, and for a year he had no direction, going from one job to the other, he even went to ITT Tech for a while, but that got too expensive. Your son will do great, and it does get easier. I just recieved a phone call from my so today, and that makes it all better. I can tell he is maturing and becoming a man. I wish you the best.
