I got the best news just now. Jen will be coming home on the 18 and will stay till the 27th. I am so excited. The Navy is also not charging for them for the leave. I dont know why but because of that she will be home next summer also.

Last year with stand-down they let the Sailors go into the hole with their leave time. They basically are very good letting them leave. If they stay they will do busy work, meaning they clean and clean and clean somemore. Yuck

Theresa, thanks for the info on PIR and where to stay. We made reservations at the Residence Inn, and are really looking forward to that weekend!

Yes, Nicole is PRP. The only thing I heard was tighter security and longer watches. Your information is so helpful! Thank you. Now I know they only know each other by last name but I didnt think we should share that here, any ideas.

Good information! I will get working on the skin so soft. She already said she wanted to buy a new bed set and now I will add a comfortable mattress pad to the list. She was warned that she was going to be working out with the marines. She has never been much of a runner so the 5 miles is pretty hard for her but she can hold her own on the rest of PT. We have a friend who is going to run with her while she is home, she runs marathons so maybe she can give her some tips. I am sure they would both benefit from meeting each other. Is Jen still in training? I was wondering how long training is and then do you know how the shifts are for watches?

Hi Theresa - I found you by way of Karen. If I follow some of the posts I think my daugter is following yours. PRP at Kings Bay in GA? Just wanted to check and see if you have any tips. Nicki is graduating Friday and coming home and then reporting to Kings Bay July 3rd.
Thanks, Judi

Greg said no he's not in the PRP program, what is that anyway. I'm so glad Jen is adjusting. It is quite an adventure for all of them but God will see them through.

Hi Teresa, Greg got his orders today, he's headed to Whidbey Island, WA. I'm so glad it's only about a 2 hour flight, GOD IS GOOD! How is Jen doing, is she liking her work/job?

Morning Teresa, quick question. I got Greg's new address in S.A. and he gave me PSC 3, where do I put that on the envelope and do I still put last name first. Thanks for your help, I wanted to get something in the mail today and didn't want to wait for Greg to get done with his day. Have a great day.

Hi Teresa, well just got back from PIR and it was wonderful even though Greg was a grad and go. You won't believe that he got booked on the same flight as we did to San Antonio and I got to sit next to him all the way there. We spend the 6 hours together waiting for our flight at the airport and the time on base in S.A. was FABULOUS! The little room we got and just hung out, watched movies, ate, went bowling and to church. Greg will get settled in today into his new place. I can't wait to hear from him today to see how his first official day at A-school went. You and your daughter were right about everything, it worked out PERFECT!
Thank you again for being there for me, I couldn't have gotten through it without you two. I hope all is going well with Jen, how is she doing?
