Sick in quarters

Thanks for the help. I'm sure he will be OK. Hopefully it will be more like "liberty" for him once the medicine wears off. As for the new med, if he had a serious reaction to it, and unable to seek...

Haven't Heard from My Son

Shay, I was telling my son about joining Navy4moms, and about your situation. He was curious as to which A school your son was going to see if he knew him. Leah

Hi I totally agree with Anti M, my son was SIQ and yes his friends checked on him. He had another appointment set up for the Corpsman to chk him out. Although, he was not permitted to leave- he was hospitalized for 105 fever and reaction to antibi...

He probably has roommates, and even the SIQ must be head-counted for muster, so he is checked on at least once or twice a day. And yes, they can go to meals and such on their own; they aren't quarantined.

Being "sick in quarters" is pretty much the same as an employer sending someone home to recover. It means the person is too sick to be at work/school, but not so sick they need to be hospitalized or otherwise monitored. No, usually no one checks o...

Hi. My son just graduated boot camp, been through indoc and is now sitting in Great Lakes awaiting ATT before A school. He is an ET. How long ago did you son graduate boot camp? Seems like it takes forever for them to get assigned to the fleet. My son just graduated highschool in June and left for the Navy in July. What should we expect from the next copule years?

Hi, wanted to welcome you to the AECF group! I see your son has been to 3 C schools so that must mean he is an ET (?) Our son is an FC and FCs usually just go to one C school initially but it's a long one - eight months long. He just reported to his first ship in Hawaii but it looks like your son is going to Japan! Sasebo is supposed to be beautiful. We used to live in Yokosuka - hubby was an FC for 10 years as well so we lived in Japan for a number of years and loved it. If you have any questions please let us know.
